I applied, interviewed, and was offered a part-time instructor position at PCC. Shawna Shoaf (faculty, Department Chair Fine Arts, Humanities, and Media Communications) conducted the interview and proposed the offer to me. I accepted via email, on time, as I was asked to. Shawna Shoaf then "ghosted" me, meaning she did not respond to my acceptance email or calls. She then accidentally emailed me a receipt for a bolo tie.

What a joke financial advisors don’t care! Director of admission had us waiting for 1 1/2 hours for a meeting because of a mistake the counselor made but no one would talk to us or see us. However if it was money to pay or starting school they are all about that. Once you want someone to work because we are the consumer we should have a right you would think! Save your time and money don’t sign up here!

Financial advisors and academic advisors have zero communication skills with teachers, had to come back 4 different times because they didn't want to "disturb" the teacher while I was there and constantly had to talk with the welding teacher who doesn't have a clue how to actively return calls or actually communicate with others.

I have been a student here for a long time and have taken a quite a few courses here. I originally started with pre-nursing, EMS, Medical Assisting and now Sonography. One of the requirements for the Sonography programs is you have to have an Associates degree is a medical field of study. So I finish my Associates of Applied Science in Medical Assisting (a completely useless degree but it beats wasting 2 years on a different degree). So I am now a graduate as of the end of summer. I enrolled into the fall to take the prereqs for the sonogrpahy program and was label ineligible for financial aid due to maxing out 150% of my degree path. So I file an appeal. In my appeal I stated "I am starting prereqs for the sonography program, one of those requirements is an Associates degree in a medical field of study. I have a 3.5 overall GPA and I have gotten straight A's my spring and summer semesters. I have a 90% completion rate." I sent this appeal on Monday 08/14 and my appeal was denied 08/18 at 4pm. This mean I can not use any financial aid. No student loans, grants of any kind, and no fafsa. I have completed my application and have been approved for fafsa, pell grant, and an unsubsidized loan but I am not allowed to use it at pcc because they have decided I have taken too many courses so therefore I am ineligible. I was told I can reapply when I am accepted into the Sonography program which will not happen when I have not completed prereqs. Classes start Monday for most if not all colleges. They waited until the last possible second to tell me.

I hate this place with every fiber of my being... I've been trying to do tests here and I live an hour and a half away. First attempt I drove up there and they canceled it on my drive up via email, but I didn't find out until I was already there! Via freaking email!!!! And then the lady there said they had called everyone a few days before which was a complete lie, no call was ever sent out. It got rescheduled for a month later and I said I'd just wait the month. Well I waited the month and this time they had the decency to cancel it a day before after waiting a Month via Email again! Truly disappointing. I don't know if it's the colleges fault per say and it's a pretty nice looking place. But that tetsing center is absolutely horrid

As a student it's been pretty great. The staff is usually fantastic and helps student out greatly. Some of the staff members in these reviews complaining about having to go in to work during covid should consider themselves lucky to even have employment in the first place. I can tell you if they worked for me they'd be fired immediately and replaced by people who enjoy a paycheck.
