Prior to working with Jim, I had already passed the SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 exams. I then landed my dream job in equity research and spent 2.5 months studying for the Series 86 exam, but unfortunately, I failed. Normally, if I put in the effort, I succeed. However, after my first attempt, I felt that even with an additional 50+ hours of studying, I still wouldn't have passed. Following this failure, management informed me that I needed to pass on my second attempt or face termination. The stakes were high for my second attempt.
