Product School offers a very practical hands-on kind of coursework that will allow existing and aspiring PMs to practice the art of Product Management and excel in their careers.

Right from the coursework, homework to final project and the feedback from the instructor is very valuable and pertinent. The class participation is amazing and you get to work with a variety of talented folks in the class.

The best thing I liked about the course is that it is taught by industry Product Management leaders from top notch companies and you really get the practical insights through the class. Needless to say, my instructor(Will Gonzalez) did an amazing job of providing valuable details about real-life challenges in building world class products with ways to overcome them. I’m glad I took up this course and added a valuable credential to my experience.

A meaningful way to start your Product Management learning if you are new to the subject. If you are already a Product Manager, this material gives you several frameworks you can rely on to hone in on an existing skillset. I loved my instructor. He was engaging and brought his years of PM experience to the classroom to share and trigger our curious minds. I really enjoyed the practical and team-based approach Product School follows to impart the material to the students. Resume building exercise was extremely helpful. It would be great if they can establish themselves more strongly to help with recruitment for folks who are transitioning to PM roles. But overall, I would highly recommend the course to anyone.

I attended Product School's Product Management Course in NYC and really enjoyed it. I come from a consulting background where I have had some experience working as a Product Owner for clients and wanted to figure out how to transition into a true Product Manager role.

The course covered every aspect of Product Management from understanding a company's context and goals, identifying new product opportunities and validating them using both quantitative and qualitative analysis, how to bring ideas to life via the product development lifecycle, and how to effectively market a product. The course goes into the right level of detail for you to understand all the potential responsibilities of a Product Manager at different companies. The last week also focuses on the PM Job search process, which I found to be super helpful.

Throughout the course you pick a company of interest to you and propose a new product feature or idea. All of the homework assignments build on each other and help you with your final project of presenting the product idea to the class. Outside of class, I would estimate that the homework assignments took me about 6 hours (on average).

Alex, my instructor, was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the entire course. She offered a unique perspective on Product Management, as she has experience as a PM at a large company as well as an early stage start-up. She made herself available outside of class to answer any questions about homework assignments, final project ideas, and the job-search process.

This is definitely a great course to take if you are looking to understand the role of a PM better, get a feel for what it takes to be a successful PM, meet a lot of smart, like-minded people, and eventually transition into Product Management!

I think the quality of Product Management course is really depended on the instructors. I took the class February 2019 in Silicon Valley Campus with Patrick Millegan. The learning experience was an absolute success, which sets a solid foundation to my product management journey. The learning expectation was set very clear in the beginning of the class, that this class does not guarantee product manager jobs at graduation but it’s up to individuals to keep trying and seeking. Patrick has made the journey easier for me with his experience in product management and his contagious passion. Aside the designated learning material by product school, the additional layer of his understanding and explanation has made the material thicker and more applicable. His teaching was able to spark more in-depth questions that’s more practical and we can always refer back to in the future. That’s how I think separates a great PM from a good PM. With his leadership and expertise, it was really easy to ask questions, keep him involved, getting advice on interviewing and resumes outside of the class. He created a trusting, open, safe, interactive environment for us that product management is starting to make sense. He is willing to take an extra mile and beyond with us to spend more time, build relationships, and offer genuine advice to make us better.

At the end of the learning, I have a clear take-away from this class, a good community who are on the same journey with me and a reliable mentor in the industry, which I think is invaluable. There are always more Product School can do and improve. My experience here is pretty positive and looking forward to other classes and more exploring.

Just finished my software product management courses with Roshan. Absolutely enjoyed the experience and got to know a lot of great cohort classmates.
The sessions gave me a comprehensive understanding of what product management is and what product managers do. Roshan has many years of industry experience and is always going above and beyond to help all the students out with their questions. I found the sessions very informative and very glad I had him as a the instructor and got to know all my wonderful cohort classmates. Would definitely recommend the 8 weeks curriculum for anyone who is interested in considering the PM role as the next step.

I am an engineer and an aspiring Product Manager. I joined the 8 week Product Management course at Product School. I had been reading articles online about PM but was looking for a more structured approach and to grow my network. The course definitely helped me in both the areas and offered much more. The coursework was detailed and the assignments gave an overview of the PM life. The instructor was very helpful and hands on. She gave a ton of examples from her experience that gave a better understanding of the real life challenges. She was always ready to help even beyond the class hours and helped in mock interview preparations. The class was very interactive and the discussions were very useful in grasping the concepts. I would say for anyone transitioning to PM this course is a great head-start.

I just finished the 8-week Product Management course provided by Product School. It was a good one, mainly for software based companies. The curriculum covers the basic principles of product management; the relationship with engineers, designers and product marketing; agile vs. waterfall methodology; go to market strategies, etc. The instructor Patrick gave us a lot of insight based on his professional experience and helped us to build a PM mindset such as prioritization and listening. We had group excises in each class which made us engaged and have fun. I really enjoyed the it!

It was a great experience attending Product School. The course was well organized and with sufficient content to transform engineers into product managers. The class exercises and assignments were practically aligned in getting to do various tasks which are part of a PM's daily activity. This will certainly reduce the ramp up time one would need after joining the company. I should make a special mention of my instructor Jamal from the Silicon Valley campus for his dedication towards the program and making the course a worthwhile experience.
