Potentially unsafe in my opinion. Not a lot of security over doors anyone can get in if someone holds the door for them. A lot of guests overstaying which is a concern for me. Peres of mine invite guests at 3-4am when no is in the office to increase their guests time here. Food is good 🙂 and very comfortable and quiet most of the time. Smells like weed frequently but overall it’s decent. Safety is my biggest concern. When I moved in my room was extremely dirty. Hair on the floor dirty walls. The couch leather is shedding and gets all over the place. Carpet looks like it hasn’t been clean in ages. It’s not maintained enough. But some dorms are better than others my friend did not have the same issue with cleanliness. I guess it’s a hit or miss and some students get lucky.

Their staff are really sweet. They also have some quit rooms for students to do their home work. The only problem is their water.

I am beyond dissatisfied with the service given. moving into my new dorm room It was not even cleaned since the last person who lived there moved out. I should not have to do a deep cleaning of a room that I payed $2500 for and wait weeks to get my room key. also we do not have a stable WiFi connection to complete assignments this is an important part of our academics and not a commodity. Not even an apology or email sent out acknowledging these issues.

My first year experience was the best. If Governors State would build more dorms and offer more amenities in the dorms it will have a better outcome with the population of the University.
