I wasn’t thrilled at the idea of our kids doing karate, but self-defense experience was very important to my husband, so we signed up. I could not be happier with this decision.
Our three kids, ages 6 (son), 8 (daughter), and 10 (daughter), each needed different areas of growth from a sport. One needed improved confidence, another needed physical strengthening, and one needed to be able to take direction from authority figures. We are delighted at the improvement we see in these specific areas and so much more!
Senseis Kendall and Susan are gifted educators who balance no-nonsense discipline and respect with kindness, humor, and love. They emphasize taking responsibility for one’s actions and behaving respectfully both on and off the mat.
My kids’ increased strength and physical skills have made them more coordinated and confident. They also have come to understand that the bumps and bruises of life are not the end of the world. They are safer, tougher, and more disciplined because of the Fujii dojo.
Joining the competitive team was an additional step we decided to take, which has been rewarding and fun. Sensei Tanner brings intensity and expertise to his training sessions, and is an excellent coach for the team.
Lastly, the Ohana, or family, one feels in the PKKA community is sincere and powerful. Friendships among students and families flourish as we cheer on our students and watch grow. We are blessed to have these wonderful people as part of our village.

I highly recommend PKK karate school for everyone. Teachers (Sensei) they are the best combo couple when it comes to teaching. They welcome everyone and make sure that no one feels left out in the class, always give modications if needed in any case. They not only teach karate but also teach important life lessons. I can see the confidence building up in every student. They are the nicest person I have ever met.

New update: Another advantage of choosing this place. Owners not only welcome your kidos and you with open arms but also your pets (offcourse with your own responsibilty). I am watching my friend’s dog and at first I was hesitant about where she could stay during the lessons but sensei said “Bring her in…it’s much cooler in here and we are pet friendly”. (Whenever you ran out of options about where your pet can go, no need to worry about it, if you choose PKKA)
Also right next to this place there is a big, beautiful dog park.
What else you could ask for!!!!

Our two sons have been attending this dojo for 7 years now and we have seen so much growth in their confidence and dedication to the reaching goals. It's truly amazing! They learn new skills every day and have worked VERY hard for every belt they have earned. Our oldest son is now a junior black belt and our younger son will be testing for his soon. This is our "dojo family". It started with signing up our then 4-year-old son for the SafeSide program and I signed up for the adult program. Our then 7-year-old daughter watched for two months and then asked to sign up. And after 6-months my wife joined up as well. Two-plus years later and we are thriving in the journey.

The instructors are wonderful; encouraging and tough, helping us draw out our potential. The progress and growth of our children has been rewarding to watch; to see our kids recognize that they are accomplishing a new skill that they once thought was out of reach is a wonderful reaction to witness.

Our classmates are encouraging and helpful, fun friends we would not have known otherwise. The instructors work hard to make it a family atmosphere - Ohana - and they succeed. I cannot recommend this school enough.
