The senior center has many enjoyable activities, social services, and classes for seniors. They have a wonderful daily lunch for dine in or delivery. There is a monthly booklet that they print listing all the things that they do for the Escondido seniors. Be sure to pick up one, it is well worth the trip.

This community center is a good place for the senior citizens to hang out with their friends and enjoy a good game plus a delicious hot lunch Monday through Friday. They serve all kinds of different foods and include milk and fruits like banana or apples or oranges. The dining room is well maintained and clean.
They have coffee ready in the mornings for the seniors and I am sure that can be very covenant for the seniors who enjoy their coffees and don't have the energy to make their own coffee at home.
My mother enjoys coming here and looks forward to her exercise classes here, playing bingo with her friends and socializing with people her age. It is conveniently located a few blocks north of downtown Escondido and has ample parking lot. They have recently updated some of their rooms and are working to improve the environment and facilitate. You are able to rent a room from them for your private events. Their rental rates are responsible. Rooms can be rented for religious purposes as well. They have an office to help the seniors with social security benefits. They have volunteers to help them get their income tax return prepared. They offer many different services. Most of the staff are volunteers, including the people who help to serve lunch. There's a room with a bunch of pool tables for the people to play and be entertained. There's also a thrift store here. I imagine the elderly people must enjoy shopping at this store and don't have to go far.

What a gem this is! Escondido's senior center is located here. They offer so many fun classes for next to nothing ($10 to hear professionals or get college level material!). There's a pool room. They have dances! They offer lunch. There's even a Thrift Store. Great place for seniors. Good place to volunteer to help others too.

I have been attending various functions at the Park Avenue Community Center for at least ten years now. It was formerly called the Joslyn Senior Center. It is a great space for senior activities, but I have also been involved with a number of other organizations that have held meetings there. There is plenty of parking, wheelchair access and nice restroom facilities.

Today I met with Mary who spoke to me on behalf of the Activities Director who was not available. The center was very clean, cheery and the staff made me feel very welcome there. I am an entertainer and I was there on business for a potential event. (My business name is E4E, standing for E for Entertainment). I hope to meet with the activity director some day and hope to entertain for the nice folks attending the center in the near future. I forgot to get a business card for their email address, or I would have emailed them personally.

I take line dancing lessons every week. Miss Carol is the best teacher. All of the people working there are all nice. Very pleasant atmosphere.
