Ouray is a beautiful little town. There are many things to do and see in the area any time of year. From the breathtaking scenery, a casual walk down Main Street, to the famous Hot Springs and winter skiing.. Soak up the amazing history of mining and how tough and challenging life was living here in the 1800's..

I can't say enough good things about this visitor center. Its probably the best one we've ever been to. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Building was well done and had plenty of brochures and cookies! Definitely made our visit to the area better by informing us of several activities and restaurants we would not have otherwise been aware of. Great asset for the community.

The ladies working on Saturday afternoon were very kind. They have a lot of free info about hiking and other attractions. They were very happy to show us their favorite brochures and talk to us about the town. It was a nice stop after our hike.

The staff here were a delight! The offered us hot coffee ( a welcome treat after the terrifying drive there) then told us hairy stories of the best of ouray, before sending us on our way with a game plan for the week. We felt cared for and the information the team shared was priceless.
Thanks for sending the postcard. It eventually arrived in the Southern Hemisphere! It was a real treat for the family.
