It is a very quiet place right now. Only a front door service is available. Library is accepting donations. Every spring, they hold a creative writing contest among the students who reside or attend HS in Orinda. It is a very secure area.

Great library. Large complex. Comfortable. In the Summer you can park your car in the basement parking lot. There is a large parking lot across the street in an office complex.

They do a really cute story time for younger children each Wednesday at 1030. My 1 year old loves going to it. Otherwise, the library is very clean and nice. It has a great location next to a cafe and the orinda park as well.

All the employees were absolutely great ! It was mines and kids first ever visiting, will be coming back ! Very beautiful

The Orinda Library was built anew a few years ago. It is very comfortable, housing many computers for your use. There are also a few side rooms where small groups (6 or so) may meet separately. The staff is very helpful. Adjacent to the library is Orinda's used books where one can find a myriad of treasures. The library is reached via elevator, conveniently located in the garage just off of Orinda Way. Downstairs is a lovely coffee shop. The outside setting is quite magnificent with a large cascading fountain.

It's a nice Library with comfortable chairs, but the Internet connection is excruciatingly slow (this is in comparison to Livermore Library). It seems as if all the Contra Costa Libraries have slow internet connectivity. I highly doubt anyone is using up all bandwidth on streaming services like YouTube since often, I'm one of the very few people there.
