I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Orchard Hospital in Gridley, California. Dr. Cellucci showed zero bedside manner, didn’t even introduce herself when entering the room, and had a sheet wrapped around her, which felt highly unprofessional. The hospital itself was in terrible condition—the bathroom had a broken screen in the shower, and the overall cleanliness was lacking. My concerns were dismissed, and to top it off, I was handed discharge papers at 5 a.m., even though the paperwork stated I had been discharged at 2:30 a.m.

The nursing staff didn’t inspire confidence either. They were walking around aimlessly, seeming disorganized and unsure of what they were doing. It made the entire experience feel chaotic and unprofessional. This was an unacceptable level of care, and I truly hope the hospital addresses these serious issues to improve their staff’s professionalism and facility standards.

This place is a complete joke. Almost died in 2019 after sudden onset extreme back pain, and they couldn’t run a single test until blood started showing up in my urine after my 3rd visit. It wasn’t *until* a week later that whoever their ‘qualified individual’ was incorrectly said I “may have a uti”. Except it was a full blown septic staph infection in my lower spine, which took literally 2 hours from check in at a competent hospital to diagnose and fix with emergency surgery(actual surgery was ~3hours. Too much work and skill required for them).
Another funny thing to note is they loved having actual tweakers holed up in there whining for meds, while I was just a 17y/o stud literally DYING in painxD. Maybe it’s changed? Idk the whole town is basically an inbred hick cesspool(not everyone of course; but iykyk). Suffice to say, I’m now doing great!

We were here from 9 am till 1 pm. One of the male nurses is just the best. He's a tall guy, really friendly and thoroughly explains everything and answered any questions we had. The Dr's were also very kind and concerned for my step dads health. A few of the ladies working in the waiting room all seemed like they were annoyed and some of them answered rudely to some of the other patients that were asking when they were going to be seen. There was another lady in physical pain and they just ignored her. We saw one of the nurses, I'm assuming, walk into the waiting room, look at one of the patients, proceeds to point her finger at the guy and then wiggled it, signaling for him to follow her. It was so weird. She looked extremely irritated by the way. We thought it was very unprofessional.
Other than that, the tall male nurse was very caring and professional, just like the Dr's at that hospital.

Some of the staff( lab tech) do not listen . I could not walk from pain . She said " well I need to take blood, if you want to be seen. You will come this way. I have Gallstones, major pain. Some nice lady that was waiting to be seen saw my need & came & helped me . Then waited to help me back to my chair. When the nurse came to get me , she brought a wheel chair. She saw how much pain I was in, shame on her. This was this Saturday afternoon .

I was in there on 11/12/22 with my 2yo daughter. I took her in because she's had a fever, isn't holding anything down, has a real bad cough, and is complaining of an earache.
We went in there at 4 p.m and within 15 minutes a nurse came out and took 3 cotton swaps from my daughter to check for COVID AND RSV. When she was done taking the samples I asked her if it was OK for me to go sit outside in front of my car and wait there because it was so hot inside the hospital. She said that was fine that they would go out and call us when it was our turn.... At around 7 p.m we went back in to use the restroom. At this time another nurse asked if we had been helped and I told her that we had been there for 3 hours still waiting to been seen. She went in and comes back within a few minutes and told me that they no longer had my daughters paperwork because they had discharged her because "they couldn't find us" when it was her turn. We never left the hospital and were in front of the main entrance the entire time.
At about 7:15 they put us into a room and said the doctor would be in soon... Another hour passed.... I walked over to the nurses station and let them know that we were leaving because my daughter was hungry since we had been there for over 4 hours... At this time an older nurse turns to my daughter and said "what do you want eat... McDonald's or what"....
I've always heard horror stories about Orchard Hospital, but every now and again I convince myself to give them another shot only to be disappointed once more.
Overall it was a very unprofessional and unpleasant experience... I would NOT recommend Orchard Hospital at all.

Brought my daughter in and waited 3 hours to get called back. Then all of a sudden 1 hour in the back and now they are doing freaking shift change. Not cool. This place is a joke almost worse than rideout. Still don't know which one is worse. Maybe next time we should drive to San Francisco General. It might be quicker!
