Octant Academic Consultants are worth every penny! They have tutors with extensive knowledge on the subjects they tutor and are very good at teaching your child. They are easy to work with and will work with a time that is best for you. They are very passionate about what they do and have done wonders with my daughter in physics, she hated physics until she started working with Andrew, now she truly enjoys it!

We needed a qualified chemistry tutor on relatively short notice to help out our daughter who was studying for a final exam. I spoke with Adam, who walked us through the process and discussed options based on our specific needs. We ended up working with Andrew, who was able to accommodate a rather frantic two week schedule. There was a lot of ground to cover, yet he was always patient and very good at explaining concepts in ways that my daughter would understand before moving on to the next problem - he also created problem sets based on the style and teaching methods of her professor. In the end, her results were very satisfying and we owe it all to Andrew and Octant, I highly recommend their services!

Our tutor, Zach, from Octant Academic Consultants tutored both of our children: a high-school junior who was preparing for the ACT, and a college freshman who was struggling with an advanced Linear Algebra class.

For the high-school student, he provided lots of great practice material, he taught her general test-taking strategies, and he taught her a few tricks that are specific to the ACT (e.g.: if one of the possible answers for an English question is an outlier, then that's never the right answer). He also provided some of the self-confidence that she needed, serving as both a tutor and a coach. The result is an ACT score that she's proud of, which is much higher than where she started.

For the college student, Zach prepared for tutoring sessions by re-learning Linear Algebra himself. In addition to helping our son solve some practice problems, he also provided the big-picture principles of Linear Algebra, which weren't clearly presented by our son's college professor. Zach even stayed after the allotted hour, and he seemed to genuinely enjoy spending time on this subject.

For both of our students, Zach established a comfortable rapport. He is a really nice person, and our kids liked his style.

Octant was very patient and flexible with our changing schedules. They listened to our needs, and they were very responsive to our priorities. The company clearly hires great tutors that have a variety of skills. We wouldn't go anywhere else for a tutor.
