We had the pleasure and the privilege of working with Kathleen for a few years now. She tutored our children for SHSAT, SAT and an occasional “got stuck in math” situation. There are a lot of great, well trained, patient and passionate tutors in NYC. And still, Kathleen is a cut above. She has a unique ability to make any level of complexity accessible and understood by a student regardless of a starting level. Her unique methodology takes out the scary parts of test prep by giving her students the strategies to approach any problem in an informed cool-headed way. However, what we appreciated the most (which is also vital for success in a high-pressure testing environment) is her life coaching skills. Kathleen knows how to help the kids rally their mental and physical resources to stay resilient and focused on a task.
