I have done this program 2 times, and its been very helpful for me. I came for mental health support, and substance use issues. Both programs are very informative and the therapists are great. My main issues with the program come with the duration of support, because its only 4 weeks, and the psychiatrists. The psychiatrists push medication very heavily. I came to the program taking sertraline as my antidepressant, and my psychiatrist has consistently pushed me to double my dosage. When i say no she has continued to push me to increase my dosage, despite me telling her that I increased my dosage a week before starting. I have talked to several patients who have had the same experience with their psychiatrists at this center. Some of them mentioned that they were given medications to fix side effects of other medications, leading them to take 7 different pills. They also said the withdrawals weren’t explained to them at all. I do enjoy the groups and opportunities to learn from other patients.

I am a case worker who helps chronically homeless individuals who have been placed in a supportive living setting and I assist them with their day to day lives and activities. I had a client who needed detox and found placement in this facility. The help that they have given him is second to none. Kim C. and everyone there is amazing and I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for my client. 5 stars for certain

I found the services at BHS exceptional. The treatment programs both for addiction and dual diagnosis are informative, interesting and effective. My experience with therapists (Leslie, Jayden, Sarah, Kathleen and Danny) was/is positive and life changing - each in their own unique way. These are extremely caring and thoughtful people who are skilled in dealing with complex issues including trauma. Anna in the MAT clinic is friendly, caring and a person that you just want to be friends with! My experience with the administration and front desk people has always been positive. They are always professional and helpful. I highly recommend this place as a treatment and recovery option.

During detox everyone treated me with respect and where helpful and nice. I got all the medications that I needed. Now during outpatient all the programs are great and therapist and doctors listen and are there to help you.

My intake experience with Mary Carol back in April was not pleasant. I cried the entire time and she gave me the option of being an inpatient vs outpatient treatment. My first day was not good. The therapist I was assigned to named Danny in outpatient talked more about himself then he cared about listening to my problems. I did go back to give it a chance for the second day, and realized the patients in the program were much sicker than I was. No mention of dealing with anxiety or depression. Would not recommend this facility.

Do not even attempt to contact these people for any health issues. You wait for days for answers. And then when you do get them, you're referred 3 doctors that turn you down. I would imagine medicare has something to do with it.

Dr. Greenwald & the case therapist Amanda were exceptional. The nurses go above and beyond to make you feel as comfortable as you can in a foreign setting such as inpatient. Naturally, no one walks into a hospital needing assistance feeling their best. I left the hospital reassured everything was going to be fine, not just from the staff, but I felt it myself. I even gained insight for a new hobby I never would have considered if I didn’t get the help I truly needed. I never felt like the staff was trying to overly medicate me, which was a concern of mine and I know for others. If anything, a more holistic approach was taken. If someone is struggling with their mental health, I suggest coming to CDH. At the very least you will be guided back on track to that healthy, happy, safe place we all want to be. Thank you, CDH.
