Not the worst but not the best place to get your CNA. Nobody is there for you as far as admin goes. Several times I’ve emailed Lisa or Levi questions/concerns about my test and classes with no response. I had to wait 2 weeks until after completing the hours and clinical to even be able to take my CNA exam because Lisa didn’t run my information. The admin’s don’t care, they just want to make sure you pay. I will say however the instructor, Corinne is AMAZING! She actually cares about our future, is readily available to answer questions and just talk if we need. Overall I’d take your time and $1,000 elsewhere where you will feel supported and not left in the dark by Lisa and Levi.

Aire Flynn

I took the fast paced hybrid program. There was a lot of content to cover. If you plan to take this course, make sure you really have time to study and finish your assignments by 5pm of the didactic days.

Corinne was the instructor of our class. She was the best. She had very pleasant personality. Very kind and patient. The lab and learning was fun because of her. She went above and beyond to make sure that everyone in the class understand the concepts and let everyone practice the skills until we felt comfortable. Great experience at a long-term care facility in Fort Collins.

If you are looking to become a parent CNA, don’t choose this school. Metro Life Medical Education is where is finished my course after I was kicked out of this school for leaving my first honest review online. There are several reasons not to choose this school. First, it’s entirely online but full of glitches and you won’t get any help from the teacher Lisa if you ask a question- you’ll be told to check the FAQ page even if your answer can’t be found there. Lisa accused me of cheating more than once on the piles of homework she assigns. The material isn’t hard enough that anyone would need to cheat, but there’s a lot of it. She also uses an old model of the textbook which is twice as long as the newest edition, so there are tens of hours of extra homework. She will give you a drug test, which no other school requires, and will kick you out for THC, a legal and medically accepted substance. As the mother of a medically complicated baby, the amount of added stress I experienced trying to get this certification from this school was unbelievable and greatly affected my post partum depression. If you’re a parent CNA, you won’t want to deal with this person.

I did the CNA course and the experience was incredibly fast and the instructor made each lesson easy to understand. If there was material i didn't quite understand or a skill i was struggling with she wouldn't even hesitate to stay a bit later and help me work it out until i felt confident enough to perform the task on my own. If you want a course that's informative, fast, and an instructor who is patient and understanding, then i highly recommend the Northern Colorado Institute.

I had a great experience with NCTI. They prepare you for the state exams that makes the exams feel easy and less stressful then expected. Corrine is amazing. Great school. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in obtaining their CNA.

I cannot recommend Northern Colorado Training Institute highly enough! Lisa is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She brought up things that I had never considered in 22 years of working in healthcare. And she taught in a way that helped me easily relate the information to situations I may face. If you need training or re-certification this is definitely where you want to be!

I took NCTI’s May hybrid program and it worked very well around my schedule. In the classroom Lisa helped me practice my skills. I was struggling with taking a pulse and she didn’t let me stop practicing until I knew what I was doing and how to do it. She was very helpful and patient.
They also have a very clean facility and everything I needed to succeed.
As an aspiring nurse this was the “first step” I needed to take and I couldn’t have picked a better school.

Jon was a fantastic BLS instructor. Scheduling my training was easy and flexible, as classes are provided on an as needed basis. The class was taught at a pace that fit myself and the other student. I would highly recommend the Northern Colorado Training Institute.
