I pursued my LPN certificate in the evening at this school. The staff and administrative personnel are very friendly. There's is a lot of reading involved and a lot of material to cover, so be ready. They will help you succeed if you do your part, which means studying, studying, and studying. They prepared us well to take the NCLEX and I passed the first time without any difficulty. I would recommend that school specially if you can't attend during the day. I hope they get their accreditation soon and open their RN program. The tuition is also very affordable compared to other schools

A pleasant day to everyone! I was one of the recent batch that graduated LPN this fall 2017. In all honesty, enrolling to this school was one of the best decisions I have ever made. All the instructors that we had were very helpful... even up to this point that we already graduated they are still concern and want to know how they could help, all you need to do is ask. They have an impressive passing rate of NCLEX PN at 98% this year alone. Most in our batch who took the Board exam passed it with the minimum of 85/86 questions. This is because our instructors are bent on molding us to be well disciplined, committed and inspired from the very beginning of the program. The instructors are open for tutoring to those who have difficulty understanding the lessons. Dr Zafar, in particular who was our Anatomy and Physiology 2 instructor would ALWAYS come to the class one hour early to do a refresher from previous chapters. There is also Sir Rod who extended his hands in reviewing us ATI's prior to taking the proctored exams. He's also the instructor in Pharmacology who really knows how to teach. The school never overwhelms you with unnecessary projects or assignments. Before you take your exit exam, they will help you prepare for two whole weeks; that's day to day comprehensive 4 hours review, then they give you practice test daily (not recorded, but will help you gauge your self understanding on the subject matter discussed for that particular day). This helped us ALL pass the exit exam in one take with more than 90% probability of passing the Board.
I understand that one of the previous comments here was about one person who wouldn't care about the students at all. Well, that has been addressed and she's been replaced by an approachable RN, DON Shalini of whom, in just so little time was able to make a difference. Once they open for the RN program, I would definitely come back and enroll again.

I started my nursing education in December 2018. As promised by the school I was done on 11/15 2019 and is now a licensed nurse. Today Jan 30 I already have 2 job offers and more interviews scheduled.
I had a good experience at Northshore and they have some great instructors some of the best i would say
Some great places in the Northshore area for clinical.
The NCLEX passing rate is always in the 90โ€™s if not 100% most of the time. One of the top in Illinois
The business staff is very helpful and always there for you. Donโ€™t worry if you forget something, they wonโ€™t and will look for you.
Being a nurse is one of the greatest achievement in my life
I would like to thank North Shore College for that
Guys donโ€™t wait register now

I just graduated and passed my nclex in September 2020. I love the way this school builds up your knowledge. Starting from the bottom in Anatomy all the way up to leadership. I loved most of my teachers and the people who work there are just amazing. Ilona will help you literally with everything.

I had a great experience with this school, the teachers and the admin staff are great and knowledgeable. It was tough for me at a point but it was just preparing me to pass the NCLEX at one sitting. I will definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants to get their LPN.

I graduated Nov.1,2018 as an LPN at this school. After 1 week of graduation, i took the NCLEX and passed with just 85 questions. I am a living proof that this school helps you to succeed by pushing u beyond your comfort zone. Expect to be tested (quizes and exams) once or twice a week. NO HOMEWORK. This is an accelerated school so I suggest to stay part time. I worked a full time job and worked part time at the last 3 months of the course 'cause it got harder. Prioritize school because once you get ur license, it will all pay off!
I work as a nurse for 2 months now thanks to the instructors who are very passionate (Miss Shalini, Sir Rod, and Dr.Zafar, etc.). 95% passing rate.
As long as you do ur part as a student, everything will come easy.
Management-wise, they are kind of SLOW. Like, the grades take forever to come up online. You get anxiety attacks waiting for your results, wanting to know if you fail or not, or if u can proceed to the next class.
I suggest to use an app to calculate ur grade urself, coz they take forever to grade them.
The nursing content are pretty solid. You will learn everything u need to know. Always ask question because you have to understand that nursing is endless. Ask no matter how stupid a question is.

This deserves a 5 star because I am a proud product of Northbrook College of Healthcare.

I wish I could say good things about this school. It used to be the best school I had ever been to when I started my LPN program with the best instructors (some instructors are still there). When I started Mrs. Hill was the DON of the school and everything was very well organized and the students could trust that she would help you pass no matter how much of her time it took to help you study, she qould even call us her babies. Thats how much she cared about her students. One day she had to go for unfortunate reasons and the school was left in the hands of the new DON who I believe does not care about the students, she's there for the money and to fill a spot. When someone goes up to her for help she tells you that "you can figure it out". She hated my class and she even made sure we knew it and every class in the school ,am or pm. When we were done with our program she made us the most stressed we had ever been since starting the program, made up extra things that we had to do to get signed off when we had already passed the comprehensive exam, and when it came to signing up for nclex and we asked if we could be walked through how to do it online she said again that we could figure it out, she's not organized at all, she goes on vacation and leaves nothing prepared for the students or the teachers, if you want to talk to her you have to wait until she's done smoking one of her many cigarettes of the day which is a priority to her. Once she has time for you she will make sure you know she's annoyed by you being in her office.
This could have been a school I would have recommended to everyone wanting to do an LPN program, it is affordable but if you want a place where you can go up to your DON with a problem or concern, this is not the place for you.
