Honestly has been a terrible experience. My first day as a teacher, I could NOT be the teacher in my new class because NCSOE couldn't get my documents submitted in time. The lack of communication from them was truly the worst part. There was zero communication from them at all during the lead up to class. Even a simple, "Sorry we won't be able to process your credential." would have been great. Instead we were left wondering until after everyone was closed the day before school started. I went up to the office numerous times only to be given a link to a calendly (with no availability for over a month), numerous voicemails ignored, numerous emails not replied to. I had someone from my district try calling them with no luck. I had someone from SCOE walk over and try to get an answer, but they had no luck either. Pretty much the next email I received from NCSOE (days later) was asking for money. If there was any other school to go through, I would highly recommend using them. I am still in the program and the teachers are all friendly and helpful. Lindsay and Kelly have been great. It's the process of getting your intern credential and lack of communication that needs to be improved.
