Cant depend on help from them. I ran out of gas in front of the station. They wouldnt help me in anyway. I had noone to pick my kid up and noone to call, They explained the gas cans they had were for the engines and they werent for people who ran out of gas. I sat out there for quite awhile l, they didnt help me at all.

I can only say never depend on this department in any way. They are not proactive environmentally aware of the dangers of fire in any way. they are in a 1952 mode (no burn doesn't mean no burn, a direct quote!) and will not even look at a fire you have deemed unsafe to the community. (Can't do nothing it's a burn day, hey you don't like it, move!) With this department, it is not if this town will burn but when!

Kudos to the NCCFD for helping us to clear an adjacent piece of property, owned outside of Nevada County. The men who cleared the property did an excellent job.
