It's been some years since I attended NARS. I didn't know anything when I started. My teacher was best for me. He made feel comfortable with knowing nothing. The labs with actual heating and air units really helped. Andy Stapler is now the owner, my old teacher, and a great friend throughout the years. I believe this school has always been, and will always be the best start for anyone wanting to enter the HVAC field.
