Mountain Valley helped me with a lot of my issues and insecurities. The staff are very understanding and helpful. My therapist Daniel was very caring and listened to my problems and helped me learn new ways to calm myself down. My favorite staff was Carl Hoag because he understood what I was going through and made sure I wasn't alone. The ranch experience was alright but there are some things they could change like the food and average age of a house because I was in a bunk with four 13 years old and a 12 year old. I don't think that is right. Jesse Kinseth the west teacher was very diligent about me doing my work and would help me when I asked and wouldn't get mad when I messed up.

I noticed I made a review here and it was promptly deleted. It's improper to let people working with your company make positive reviews and remove those made by clients. most positive reviews are being made by staff, and not previous clients or their families.

The treatment I have endured here was absolutely abhorrent and I left the place with more trauma and baggage than I came in with. The staff were not screened or properly trained, and the relationship staff had with the higher-ups were too friendly and inapropreate.

Transgressions I have seen/witnessed include: inapropreate sexual behavior with clients, physical aggression towards clients (not in any relation to physychal restraints) religious discrimination, discrimination towards LGBT clients, gaslighting,(cussing at, threatening, belittling, bullying) HIPPA violations (allowing unauthorised staff members to view clients personal/medical documents). I have witnessed a male staff member force a female clients face into their own vomit.

The behavior of staff regarding well then reports made by clients was also questionable. Staff seemed to only care about backing up the specific staff member who is being accused, instead of listening to the child. The enviornment was very much a "staff vs clients" instead of a "staff help and educate clients" type deal.

Staff members who are not authorized to take clients off the property often did so.

If you have any decency, or care for the well being of your previous clients, then I beg you to change how things are run at this facility.

I was disappointed with my family's experience here, especially with a staff member on their therapy team. She did not listen to our concerns and seemed to subscribe to theory that was not grounded in science. She seemed more concerned about her journey than ours as a family.

MV was the best place I could've went they helped me learn a lot about myself, at first I thought I was gonna be in and out but the longer I stayed there the more I realized that there are ways that you can overcome the obstacles in your life and that you won't be alone while doing it I can say that mv is a good place and they try their best to help and it's thanks to them that I'm successful to this day and that I have met new friends and family.❤️?
