Trailhead is easy to get to and there are a couple ways up. Parking limited during weekends. 1.5 mile hike gifts you with an amazing summit of the peak and views of to front range south to north and all the way to Kansas.

Bikes are not often on the trail.

Dog friendly.

Come in the spring and see thousands of columbine flowers.

We hike the trail systems around Mt. Herman weekly. Our favorite trail combo is the “White Ghost” to the 715 which takes you around the east front of Mt Raspberry then behind both Mts. Many many more trails that are beautiful. Hike, mtn bike, dirk bike, horse ride, camping from Monument and Palmer Lake that extends into the Rampart Range all the way to Woodland Park. Hope to see you out there!

A very challenging trail depending on how hard or easy you want to train. There are many trails offering different levels of difficulty. I love coming here and riding around without even looking at the map, all trails connect to each others. The more you ride the more addictive it is. Easy to park, there are many entrances depending on where a you coming from. 🥳

Nice Green trail! If you are traveling during the winter be careful for snow pack and ice as you will fishtail.

Pack a lunch and enjoy the ride! There is an offshoot to take you to Woodland Park.

Great hike with lots of freedom to make easy or challenging. Started out easy, but we cut through brush to get some rock out croppings we saw. Went in February and it was pretty muddy and slushy with pockets of deep snow. Wasn’t crowded either.

Hidden gem of a short climb to never-ending views on Mt. Herman. Very dog and family friendly. The majority of the groups on the trail (myself included) had kids in the pack, a dog, or both! Hardest part honestly is the first stretch, which can be discouraging. Absolutely worth it. And apparently you can paraglide off the top? Trailhead has room for maybe 10 cars max.

Great trailhead and a wonderful time of year. Ride this with my daughter. Trail is easy to follow and leads to a giant monument. Ample parking and just a great time with great views. Easy ride with a few intermediate spots.

Mt. Herman is a relatively easy hike. The trail sometimes isn’t always marked the best so use AllTrails if you have it. But it’s a nice hike with lots of nice scenery and it’s rarely ever to wet.
