Stop by the visitor center and find what times there’s range red staffed there.
A ranger was posted all day there during my visit today who shared a wealth of knowledge expanding from the history of the property, the town and down even to the vexillology of the Alaskan Flag.

Great visit and reflection back to those who came before!

Nicely maintained cabin of one of the founders of Skagway town, Mr. Moore. He lobbied for the town to be named Mooresville, after him. It didn't stick, Skagway stuck. One of the meanings of Skagway in Tlingit means where the water turns salty. Some other structure in the perimeter are locked.
