Awesome place! 10/10 I live here and I go almost every weekend! Me and my friends go for fun and to hang out. Workers are super nice. If you are 16+ there's a gym you can workout at. If you are under you can take a test to be able to be in there. Over all great place to have fun and workout!

The crown jewel of Montrose. This place has so many great amenities including a great climbing wall, gym, two tracks, and several pools. The pools even have an indoor water park for the kids and a big water slide as well. Friendly staff and the place is clean and modern.

Out back near the pickle ball courts, there are two, level two EV chargers if you need to top off your car while you work out.

My boys love this place!! Great pool for the kids. Rock climbing, different sports equipment. It's inexpensive and fun!

I am a montrose resident who has been coming to the rec for years. I have 4 boys who all love to swim. Unfortunately we have had continuous problems with the lifeguard staff. It has come to the point where we have to go to ouray or delta to have a positive pool experience. The life guards are constantly overstepping and micromanaging how a parent should play/ teach their child to swim. I've constantly been hurrassed for letting my child jump in the pool, hold their breath, practice swimming to me. Even though my husband or I are always within reach. I've been told I physically have to hold my three year old (who can swim) while we are practicing swimming on the steps where he can touch. Today I was publicly humiliated as I was sitting next to my son squirting a water gun. A life guard who was talking to another parent shouts across the pool "I'm not worried about your kid I'm worried about that one" pointing to my son. I told him you don't need to I'm right here he rudely yelled back "it's my job, and your not watching him" he was practically on my lap. This and MANY other disrespectful experiences with montrose rec lifeguards is why I'm leaving this rating.

Wow, I loved this new place! I was in the area for a few days on business and stopped in for a workout. The location was great, the building and grounds looked beautiful and pleasing to the eye, the employees were friendly and efficient, this rec center had every kind of sport facility you can think of under its roof, the men's locker room was conveniently located, clean and large, and the weight room (my main activity today) was had all the main weight machines, cardio machines, and free weights. And it was reasonably priced for an over 55 non-resident like me ($6.50).
