Montecito Academy is a very rare, extremely special haven for children to receive direct learning, specific to how they learn best. The community is small but mighty. The depth of care that goes into the curriculum, and the attention consistently given towards holistic whole being education is unique and awesome. I watched it help transform my son after years of bullying in public school to the point where he’s far more confident and genuinely looks forward to attending school and learning every day. Best experience we’ve ever had for him, and for us all.

Kori, Alex, Justin; Angela and all the other caring teachers and staff at Montecito Academy have made such a difference for our family schooling journey. The attention to the students - the small classroom size - the joyful kids - the focus on the whole person - the challenging curriculum - the fun times - the lovely schoolhouse - all make me feel good to offer my son this experience. We choose Montecito Academy for our children because of the excellent attention given to each student. Passions, strengths, and academic challenges are approached with such care and empathy . The team of faculty pays attention to behavior with extreme love and care. We are in awe of how safe our children feel and love how excited they are to come to MA every morning. Aside from top quality academics, the students are being taught empathy and how to be more loving and kind with each other.

My 5th grader began attending Montecito Academy in the pandemic era because all-virtual schooling was not working well for him and Montecito Academy offered safe outdoor small-group in-person learning. As of this writing, he is three months into his schooling there, and WOW! What a transformation I have seen in him as a student. He has become engaged and invested in his academics as never before. He was always the "my favorite subjects are lunch and recess" kind of kid. For the first time ever, he is internally motivated to strive thanks to being at Montecito Academy. The teachers are vibrant, talented, dedicated, worldly-wise and just plain fun to be around. The curriculum is well considered, relevant, engaging, and rigorous. My fifth grader is positively thriving there. He is enjoying school, working hard, and developing knowledge, skills, perspectives, and habits that will serve him lifelong. I especially appreciate the international perspective this school embodies. Its director and many of its teachers have extensive international experience, and it shows in the quality of their humanity. This school is magic in our lives. We are so grateful.

Montecito Academy has changed my daughter’s life!!! We are both so grateful for the amazing teachers and the safe environment. My daughter started as a 7th grader struggling in math. She is now graduating as an 8th grader with straights As!!!!!!! We give all our thanks to the teachers who made learning fun!! She is sad to be graduating, but she is now prepared to tackle anything. She will be entering high school being placed in advanced math!! Thank you to Ms Kori and Katherine for being a milestone in my daughters life. ❤️
