With your teaching and support, both of my twin daughters improved their SAT scores by over 350 points! They have just been accepted to their Early Decision dream schools for Fall 2025—The Cooper Union’s Architecture program and Stevens Institute of Technology’s Chemical Biology program—with generous scholarships.

Our Story

In the summer of 2022, I enrolled my daughters in a large SAT prep school. Unfortunately, the classes were overcrowded, and the teaching pace was too fast. Since my daughters attended a regular public high school, they hadn’t yet learned many of the concepts covered in the prep course, making it difficult to keep up. It was a frustrating and unproductive experience—more like a business focused on numbers rather than truly caring for each student.

After that summer, I discovered Mini Ivy’s website and decided to visit in person. It was a small school with the right class size, so I enrolled my daughters there. The instructors were patient, friendly, and highly effective teachers who paid close attention to each student. I soon noticed my daughters' progress—they enjoyed attending Mini Ivy every weekend and diligently completed their homework.

They continued with Mini Ivy for two years, including summers. Their SAT scores ended up significantly higher than their school’s average. Despite not attending a specialized high school, they were admitted to elite colleges.

Thank you, Mini Ivy! Without your help, they wouldn’t have achieved this success. As a parent, I cannot thank you enough!

Mini Ivy is an excellent tutoring center! I was tutored here starting in elementary school all the way through high school. Their tutors are very diverse in their fields of teaching; they cover math, ELA, test preparation, as well as high school subjects. All the tutors are very nice too. Kids will definitely be prepared for the future if they put effort into their learning in these classes.

Love sending my kids here. Teachers are all highly qualified and excellent. They actually care about the kids, when son ditched class once, I was notified. I've been sending him here for years. He's gotten a good score for the SHSAT and is studying with one of the teachers for SAT and SAT subject test. One of the only place is Chinatown where the teachers are actual teacher with licenses and have experience teaching unlike other places where they hire college students to teach.

It’s like your typically prep place where they give you assignments and mock exams to do and teachers would help guide you and suggest how to approach different types of questions. I remember Mr. Magli (not sure if I spelled his name right... it’s been almost 3 years) who taught the English and writing portion of the SAT, is very knowledgeable and I would always leave the room feeling like learned something new and also confused. I feel like they did help me improve overall. The staffs are pretty friendly and helpful too.

A place where you can take different classes depending on your level, and has professional teachers to help your children learn. The teachers prepare their student for their school and their future.

It's a good place for kids to learn stuff, but you'll have a hard time there if you don't bother to even to what's taught in class. I was both a teacher and a student at this place, I would strongly recommend this place if you actually want to learn something here, how much you can learn from this place depends solely on you.

Teachers are way overqualified- doctoral degrees- and work here because they truly love teaching. They may also teach in local schools during the day.
