We are so thankful for Joleen! We met with her when our daughter was having trouble gaining weight. Joleen was so helpful and reassuring. She made us feel so comfortable, and gave us tips and ideas on how to best help our daughter. When we found out our daughter had oral ties, Joleen was able to refer us to other great professionals, and provided the referrals we needed to see them. My appointment with Joleen was great- she is very down to earth, understanding, patient, and very informative. She answered all of my questions and listened to all of my concerns and provided me with solutions. I struggled with no supply with my first baby due to my PCOS and unfortunately was experiencing the same with my newest baby. I made an appointment with Joleen after my sister had suggested her and it was an amazing experience. She gave me different tools to feed my daughter as far as keeping her interested in breastfeeding - SNS bottle, side lying bottle feeding having my daughter root for the bottle like she would the breast, etc. I left getting closure that my supply is out of my hands with my diagnosis but that I can still nurse while supplementing to still bond with my baby. It’s been really refreshing mentally to not have the pressure on me to pump around the clock especially chasing a one year old around too. Joleen has checked in on us to check our progress and make sure things were going well as far as my baby’s weight etc. I highly recommend meeting with her if you need any help what-so-ever with breastfeeding!

I was so discouraged with breastfeeding and had horrible sores due to a poor latch. I honestly didn't know if I could continue breastfeeding because of the pain. But Jolene was so helpful and encouraging! She found solutions and helped to speed up the healing process. My daughter is now over a year old and is still nursing! My daughter aspirated on meconium when she was born causing her to need extra care in the NICU. She had to be intubated and had multiple different tubes in her mouth and nose her first 3 weeks of life. I had to start pumping within 4 hours of giving birth so that I would be able to provide breast milk for her while in the NICU. During pumping I developed an oversupply and my daughter is still struggling with oral feeds at this time. She has an NG tube which causes her to have some aversions when it comes to eating orally. My husband and I made a two hour trip to Joleen in hopes to get more support and information about breast feeding and how to deal with my oversupply causing nonstop clogs and mastitis.
Joleen was AMAZING and so worth the drive. She sat down and listened to all my concerns and explained everything to us so well. I’m so thankful for her time and her suggestions have helped improve my daughter and I’s breast feeding journey and my pumping journey!

I can’t say enough good things about Joleen! I set up an appointment with her 1 week postpartum due to feeling very overwhelmed with nursing/pumping and had a lot of anxiety as a first time mom. She created a care plan specific to me and my daughter’s needs and I truly felt more comfortable and confident with her help. She is thorough, supportive, and responsive. Joleen was great to work with and super helpful. Even after breastfeeding two babies previously, I gained new knowledge and great tips from our appointment. I was not expecting to receive pumping support but was pleasantly surprised when Joleen took the time to make sure I was using the correct size flange (I had never been measured during previous appts at hospitals) and provided other great information for pumping. Joleen was so helpful and made me feel very comfortable during the appointment. She gave me so much information and explained what I could do to reach my breastfeeding goal. Besides information about breastfeeding she helped me with my pumping routine, explaining how to get the most out of my pump sessions.
