Went through for my CNA certification, at first it wasn't so bad. The teacher we had in the beginning seemed to be good, but as the weeks went on things shifted. We started hearing from other classes that they were talking about my class. They pile on a ton of unnecessary homework on you. If you have a family to take care of after class, good luck. There were nights that I didn't get finished with the work until after 10pm. So I had no time with my kids. When you ask a question you get talked to as if you're asking the world. When you call them out on things that they've done wrong, you get treated differently and are told you're wrong because they are more experienced. They were not very helpful in prepping you for the real life of a CNA. They only went by the book. So when you get thrown out into the real work world, you have no idea what is to come. There needs to be more prep for what is to come and not just what state wants you to do. It's not going to be a perfect world situation. The teachers needed to chill. Yes I understand it's a serious job. I did it for a long time before getting recertified, but they were acting like we are going in for our RN and needed to know all this unnecessary stuff. You're not very well prepared for the state test. If you're looking to get your CNA please go elsewhere.
