It's a small closed minded library branch. They can have books shipped over from other branches if need be

We love the Fruita rec center. We wish the swimming pool was open for free swim earlier during the summer. It can get awfully busy when everyone shows up after nap time. Regardless, we love it.

I do not like this branch. It felt like I was being watched the entire time I was there by staff and their security guard. I could have sworn also that the male librarian make a snide remark about the subject matter I was browsing the internet for on one of their computers. Obviously there must be a certain kind of patron these ppl want to utilize their library and apparently I failed the grade. ?

Surprised to hear someone had such a bad experience. We love coming here and find the librarians very helpful and friendly. Julie does a wonderful job with the children on Wednesdays for storytime, as does Andrea when she has filled in. We love them and the kiddos have a great time! Lots of music/singing and fun, often have hands-on learning. Thanks for having such a great place to bring the kids to socialize and be kids.

I like the Fruita library. Everyone has access to books, computers, printers, and copies - copies are 15 cents each but quick to get. One must renew her or his library card every three years.

The library has a decent selection of books on hand but shares books with several surrounding libraries in Mesa County so you can request a book and pick it up at your local library. The staff at the Fruita Branch are not very welcoming. I stop in every few weeks and most times I am not greeted or acknowledged. I’ve never been asked if they can help and the few times I’ve needed help they act like I’m bothering them.
