Disappointed with the shift in service quality. While the institute initially promised flexibility and good customer service, our experience towards the end was quite the opposite. Despite following their policies, including providing proper notice, a simple request for a makeup class due to unavoidable circumstances was denied. It’s disheartening to see priorities change once you're no longer a continuing customer. This reflects poorly on their commitment to long-term service and support. Unfortunately, I can not recommend an institute that values business over consistent customer care.

Unhelpful coordinator. The classes themselves were not effective, and we didn’t find much value in the program. While Mathnasium is a bit more expensive, the quality, responsiveness, and overall effectiveness make it well worth the difference compared to Mathzone. I cannot recommend Mathzone based on our experience.

I can’t thank Marsha and Anastasia enough for helping my daughter through the Prob
& Stats unit and preparing her for the final in Honors Precalc class. She was able to finish out the year with an A in the class. They provided the assistance she needed to logically think through the problems, coached her on how to identifying formulas to problem solve, and gave her tips to make all of this less daunting.

Very pleased with the tutoring my son has received here. He had done very well in math through 5th and 6th grade but was struggling at the start of 7th grade pre-algebra. He enjoys going to his sessions and is able to complete homework and study for his tests with his tutor. After only 2 months he significantly improved his math grade, but more importantly has more confidence and a better understanding of the material. They're also very flexible with scheduling changes and in letting him make up time if we are out of town.

This is a sneaky business model. Their contract is set up to auto renew at the end of the contract period - 3 mo, 6 mo, or 9 mo - but that was not even mentioned once during the sign up period. Lots of discussion about how to use their online sign up for tutoring times and when they would pull my monthly payment, but not one mention that I had to provide 30 days notice before the end of my contract period to prevent the auto-renewal. Sure, I signed the contract, but I assumed (BIG MISTAKE) all the main points were verbally conveyed to me. Thank goodness I only signed up for a 3 month contract. I could be on the hook for 9 more months if I had chosen a 9 month term. My kid would be on his/her way to college and I’d still be paying for tutoring back home. Yes, the terms are in the contract, but knowing the auto-renewal is the core of their business model and NOT explaining that up front is super sneaky in my opinion.

My daughter was struggling with math and homework was always a battle. We tried other tutoring programs but they didnt help. I decided to give MathZone a try and am so glad I did. My daughter is now excelling and is now enrolled in an advanced math class. I cant believe the improvement!! She also enjoys going to tutoring, where as the other places she would cry and fight me to go. I recommend MathZone to everyone with kids that need some extra help.

Terrible customer service, lack of transparency. They try to lock you into a long-term contract based on the fine print of their contract. I would not recommend.
