I was a client at Mary's Hope for a short period of time. I was not the best candidate due to my work schedule conflicting with the structure that they offer. I would recommend that anybody who wants to get sober and stay sober give this program a shot.

There are a lot of reviews stating that this program is a cult. People say the same thing about 12 step programs such as NA or AA. I can tell you that the people who I have seen graduate from Mary's Hope are highly successful and generally really happy law abiding productive members of society.

Mary's Hope does indeed require residents to adhere to a highly organized schedule, but it is designed that way for a reason. Johan Hari is famous for saying The opposite of addiction is not sobriety, but human connection. Colorado Agency for Recovery Residence's suggests that sober livings offer some sort of regular social gathering. The sober underground actually shows that people can have fun in sobriety in a club-like setting on a friday night without the use of drugs of alcohol.

My FAVORITE aspect of Mary's Hope is that they do not kick people out for a single relapse. The program will work with anybody who truly wants to work on their recovery and better themselves. They understand that it is normal to relapse.

Mary Brewer is one of the most understanding people when it comes to slip ups and she will personally individualize a plan to help clients who stumble.

If you or a loved one is struggling with any type of addiction I would recommend checking this place out, but be prepared to put in the work required. I promise it will be worth it in the end!!

This program is a cult, I didn’t want to leave a review but I feel it’s important to warn people. If your serious about wanting to get sober find somewhere else. I was very uncomfortable from the beginning. They manipulated every situation to feed their ego and appear as saints. Not being willing to be manipulated by the program and it’s “doctrine” deems you unworthy of recovery. They play favorites and gaslight every situation. I was told I was noncompliant to the program for going to AA meetings. After I left the staff continued to harass me via text and email bullying me and slandering me. You are required to go to her church every Sunday and listen to her doctrine, (she is the pastor)and sober underground for 2 hours on Friday which you have to pay a cover to get in no matter what. Needless to say in my opinion If you wanna get sober an stay sober find a good AA or NA group. Get a sponsor and work the 12 steps.

Since my completion on rehab at New beginnings recovery center I moved into one of Mary's hope sober homes. It has been a wonderful experience. It gave me the tools and guidance I needed to get my life back on track. Living here has been a great opportunity and way to learn how to live a normal life without drugs and alcohol. Since living here I've met several people that have helped me on my journey and also given me the opportunity to help others on there journey. It has also been a great way to be able to give back

I would like to say how awesome this place really and truly is! I think the staff here is incredible with a true focus on the individual and recovery is possible. I have tried to get sober on a number of occasions and this time I believe I have learned the proper way to not only treat myself but have gained the knowledge to rebuild my life! I am so very grateful for this program and would recommend it to any individual that is at the end of their rope and don't have any hope. The staff is caring, and I believe they comfort us to the point that we figure out our program but coach us correctly. I thank my higher power for getting me into this program and I'm going to be proud that anyone can do it! I am currently sober as of December 13th and I have even given up cigarettes and I'm on day 8 without nicotine. Thank God!!!! Thank you marys hope. Keep saving us!!!!

When I completed treatment I was reluctant to go into sober living. I know it was God working in my support system and talking with Mary personally that lead me to that giant step. Now going on 8 months the experience has changed me as a person. There is nothing like being around those who struggle just like you do and the encouragement you receive and give. It’s like a big family, sometimes seems a little dysfunctional, but God is gracious and is Faithful.

This place is all a scam. The facility is in a very unsafe and uncomfortable environment. You basically sleep on a cot. Not only that, they try to train you to work their while you are supposed to be focusing on your own recovery that way they can save money for actual employees. NONE of their councilors are actual trained to lead support groups. They are just people who have been in the program. They allow people to relapse while at their facility and still stay in the program putting everyone at risk. My stepdad did the program 3 times , and after his third time he died from his addiction. The sober homes are also completely trashed. Their was mice and broken windows and no one ever came to fix them.

I've lived at Mary's Hope Sober Homes for almost a year and a half and love it here! As with any community, there are always going to be little things each of us doesn't like or agree with. That being said, Mary has helped me immensely through one of the hardest times in my life! Through her support and that of the community she created for us, I'm finally at a point again where I wake up happy to be alive and ready for what life throws at me.

I think they mean "Mary's not so sober homes". Never in my life have I seen such I shining example of a parasite/leech in recovery as Mary Brewer. Someone who capitalizes on others' misery. Someone who has made themselves rich by ensuring and even at times encouraging an addicts failure. Any addict knows that there is no solution to addiction, but say that around Mary Brewer and you will burn because she "knows" that her treatment center is fail proof. She doesn't care if you are clean or not as long as you are current on your rent. That is all that matters to her. Oh, that and making sure that you are there to listen to her " I am so much better than you" sermons at Jump-start every Sunday morning. She never misses a chance to look down at the folks in her congregation that are forced to be there for fear of being homeless. And she knows it so she says whatever she wants no matter how calloused or self righteous. She spent a half an hour telling all of us how we need to be more independent and to stop relying on others, especially our parents, and not 2 days later she is screaming at me on the phone telling me to tell my mom to loan me $1500 to get my bed fees paid. She said this 3 times and was shocked when I told her I would not ask and reminded her of her sermon the previous Sunday. She is a snake with a smile on her face and will not hesitate to kick you when you are down. So move in, get high, do whatever you want but whatever you do don't fall behind and do NOT miss Jump-start or you will be homeless. What a parasite. Keep your distance.
