We have been at Mackintosh Academy for 4.5 years and love it. The school has been instrumental in helping our child gain the confidence he did not have when he arrived at Mack. Teachers are engaged and very proactive. They see issues that may arise before a parent even knows it's on the radar. Staff is dedicated and have the best interest of the students in mind. Parent community is great.

This school deserves the highest praise. It is so impressive when my child comes home at the end of each unit and presents a "binder tour" summing up what he has learned. He is excited about the material and is able to present a topic in a very complete way. That is the reward of learning through the International Baccalaureate method. The student led conferences at the end of each semester display the results of the superior education from Mackintosh. The teachers are very experienced and caring as well as the administration. There has been a change in administration and school structure (adding a campus in Boulder) in the past couple of years and I think it was handled smoothly and competently, keeping parents involved and informed and expanding learning opportunities by growing the school community. If you feel that your child is not being challenged at their current school or if grade skipping has been recommended to you, I think you should visit Mackintosh. I couldn't be happier with this school and feel it has been a perfect fit for my child.

We have watched a wonderful transformation in our son, a current 8th grader at Mackintosh, over the past six years. He's always been a good kid and student, but Mack brought out the best in him. Wonderful teachers and staff, a warm, committed community, and an empowering IB curriculum allowed him to reach his potential as a curious, confident student, more than ready to enter a strong high school program. And, as our son has progressed from good to great, so too has Mack. It's truly a great school that develops thinkers, leaders and contributing young citizens.

OVER. THE. MOON. We feel like we've finally found an educational HOME for our little Bean sprout. I can't even explain what a relief it is to find a school that genuinely CARES, and where we feel like we're all on the same page. They "get" her, and being 2E that’s no small feat!!. They really seem to understand her needs, while applauding her strengths. We feel like we've won the primary school jackpot. The cherry on top is that Mack aligns with our societal beliefs. From their proactive stance on environmental concerns, to their encouragement of a global mindset, and their strong focus on emotional intelligence. We couldn’t be happier to be signing on to return next year for 4th grade. 🏆♥️🌎🔬

I am extremely impressed with the quality of education as well as the tight knit community that this school provides. Children get the opportunity to be themselves. This is not a one size fits all place, and that has made such a difference for my child. The teachers, leadership, and staff are completely dedicated to the children.

The teachers and staff genuinely care about the well-being of the children and take pains to make sure that each child's learning style is taken into account. They truly individualize the curriculum to enhance each child's gifts and support each child's challenges. The teachers are brilliant and human and accessible. My two gifted children have certainly found their tribe here.

As a parent, I just wanted to respond to the negative review below. The administrator that mentioned by name in this review is a dedicated and committed educator, supporting gifted children in this area for many years. I have noticed that this reviewer's posts about other small businesses are also inflammatory and highly negative. It is unfortunate that the internet can be used by individuals to smear the reputations of small businesses, and that small businesses can do very little to have false or misleading information removed from these types of sites. Too bad slander and libel are so difficult to prosecute online.
