I would expect the concession stand to have some food to serve those that are here for 3 afternoon games. The few times I’ve tried to buy food for my young son, there is barely anything left. I would expect better supply when there is a $10 entry fee and no outside food allowed.

We've been a part of the M14 Chicagoland family for 5 years. Our son has grown exponentially in his knowledge and love for the game. The facilities are state of the art and the instruction is top notch with a variety of camps, training sessions, in-house and travel teams. Would recommend M14 Hoops for any skill level; from beginners to the more advanced player!

6th year with M14 Hoops. Highly recommend for the awesome coaching staff and the variety of programs offered for all ages and skills level. M14 will not only help your player develop its technical skills but also a positive mindset while respecting their goal with basketball. From travel team, to shooting camps, speed and agility , private instruction or summer camps, every player can find the program they are looking for ! Coaching staff is the best and coach Kendal is fantastic!
2 players in the program and one is now playing at College level.

Pulling up to this facility and you feel like this has a nice presence and appearance, but that is where it ends, as you park in a spot that is meant solely for a compact car...and look forward to a possible door ding when you leave for the day. You'll be greeted, or should I say "ungreeted" by the front desk who only accepts certain "apps" for payments? Is the dollar not accepted in cash anymore, and no credit card option?

Similar to other reviews, it's super noisy, and you'll even get the opportunity to work the scoring table without compensation so you can "kind of watch" your child's game. No sanitation to wipe down the scoring table and to top it all off you'll get the opportunity to work next to someone coughing like crazy as you score the game.

This is another money grabbing experience - $10 to get-in when your team has already paid to get into the tournament so they can further pad their bottom line. Not interested in being there ever again.

I’ve been playing basketball for 35 years (still playing 1-2 times a week) and have coached both my boys on their feeder teams the last 3 years (currently coaching my 4th grader). My boys have done a plethora of basketball training at Breakaway, M14 and other high school camps in the summer. At M14 they have done the summer camps and the fall ATP training. The older one has done private lessons and was on Black 2 team for 5th grade last spring and will be trying out again this year. Trust me when I tell you that Matt and his staff know what they are doing. The training is stern but creates discipline and proper execution. Just watching makes me a better coach as I will at times film the drills and plays to use them when I coach my boys on their winter feeder teams. In my opinion, the training is a step above Breakaway. Saying that, my boys have never done the Breakaway spring leagues so I can’t speak to how that experience is.

If I had to give constructive feedback it is that my son’s spring league team constantly played zone defense. Will they win more games in zone defense? Of course, because teams typically don’t plan for it and kids are not good at sealing players off in the zone to create opportunities, nor can they shoot out of it. To me zone is playing the short game and not the long game. I do not care if his team loses. I want him to get better/tougher and he’ll do that by fighting through screens, chasing his man around, boxing out his opponent, and learning where to be for help defense. Zone can always come later down the road after they’ve mastered man to man. Really that is just a small criticism that most won’t care about. Overall, this program is top notch, and the kids clearly get better by the end of the sessions/camps. If I had to pick one program for a new basketball player, it would be the ATP training. Don’t hesitate to sign up. You will see clear results by the end, pending your kid goes to all the practices.
