This place is tremendous. Stewed beef and pulled pork with yellow rice/beams is unbelievable.

The food was decently flavored. The rice was cold, and everything else was too oily. The location was dirty, tables had used plates, and the floor had food and trash scattered around. Also, there were lots of flies. Overall, it could have potential if properly managed since the food has good flavor.

One of my favorite place. It reminds me of back home in New York City. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend the bacalao (cod fish stew). But every dish that I have tried were all great tasting dishes. The service is great but the atmosphere could use a little updating. But overall great place to eat and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.

The food was so flavorful, my to-go plate did not make it home. Good service, got my food quick and it was nice and hot even though I went around 8:40pm before they closed.

Parking around there was insane, so you may have to walk a block or 2 if you go on a weekend. It's well worth the walk.

I just left Children's Hospital in DC. I was so hungry from a long day. I didn't expect to see rice and pigeon peas or beef stew on the menu. So, I got the carne guisada and tres leches.

The service was very pleasant. Thank you to the older and younger woman who were working on this Monday, 3/10/25.

Oh that food hit the spot! It was delicious! And I don't do reviews, soooo. Thank you for going beyond Mt Pleasant and being in a place where I'm sure people need that balanced should food.

Three of us found our way here after a few other options fell through. The food was very good and service was also very good. Not the cleanest seating area, but the general vibe in the place was nice. I will visit again when we're are in this part of town.

Food was delicious, asked for tostones which were made fresh. Tamarind juice was tasty. The music was fire. My friend and I stayed til closing time chatting and catching up. It was so lovely to see that they packed up leftovers to give to neighbors in need who came by at closing time. Please support this small business, they support the community, food is good and music is fun!
