I would definitely rate this as one of the best experiences of my life. You get to see unbelievable views of Long Island and fire island that you would never see from the ground. It is definitely a learning experience and is something that everyone should experience once in their life. There is definitely nothing to be worried about I felt safe the entire flight whether we were taking off, landing or just floating around. If you were thinking about taking the flight lesson I would absolutely do it!

Dan is my CFI and he is awesome! he explains everything in easy to understand manner. gives honest feedback. I have been struggling with comms and Dan has really been understanding and is helping me work through my lack of confidence. Very knowledgeable, safe and all round good guy!

I took my first flight here 8/8/23 and finished on 10/8/24 with a first-time pass for my PPL. This flight school is competent and safe with great people all around. I looked around at many schools in the area but landed on this one because of affordability and flexibility. I was working a demanding full-time job and needed a place that could work with my schedule. My instructor was Liam, who was always professional,knowledgeable,patient, and safe. I briefly flew with the other instructors there leading up to my check ride, and both are excellent, spotting flaws in my flying that definitely helped me pass. The planes are well maintained and never felt unsafe in them. Also, no one was intentionally trying to slow my progress just to get more money as some other unscrupulous flight schools do. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I learned a lot.

As a current student at this Flight School, I can most definitely say the journey is going smoothly. My flight instructor, Liam is a great guy with personality. Awesome guy to just vibe with on the ground and in the sky. The overall environment is comfortable.. At first when I started, I was quite nervous, but easily adjusted. Also, scheduling is really flexible for those who are busy. If you’re looking to start a career path in becoming a pilot, this school is definitely the start and the views are immaculate. Highly recommend.

5 stars for my instructor Liam at Long Island Flying. He’s always on time and easy to learn from. Long Island Flying is more affordable, safer and has better planes than all of the other schools. I did a ton of research and worked with several other instructors before I came here. I wish I had found this place in the beginning of my training.

I highly recommend their discovery flight to anyone interested in trying out the school or even if you’re just interested in a one-off. That’s how I started and there wasn’t any pressure to sign up.

Long Island Flying was great for my starter package. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and experienced. They were very accommodating with my schedule and great with communication.

I am a student here and have really enjoyed the experience. Low key, competent and supportive instructors.

Responding to Albert Yeh... this is a flight school not a charter company. Even enrolled students can't just fly around on scenic flights, there has to be flight instruction. Asking LI Flying to take you on a one-off tour of NYC is kind of like asking an art history professor to take you on a personal art museum tour. It's not what they do.
