Love horseback riding here! Patrick, dolly and John are all very friendly and knowledgeable about horses! They have some great horses and a very beautiful stable. Adam is my favorite horse❤️

I loved boarding here. My horses were beyond spoiled- straw so deep I had a hard time walking through my horses’ stalls, stalls were so so clean, water buckets scrubbed, my horses were healthy and carried good weight in full work with competitions, the amenities for the humans were phenomenal, and John taught me so much and pushed me to do things I wasn’t sure I could! Most barns you feel like you’re paying for more than you get but that was never ever the case here. Also bonus- the indoor gets so toasty in the winter you can ride without a coat!

We’ve only gone for one lesson so far. However, this place is gorgeous and everyone there is so nice. Fable was my daughter’s instructor and worked really well with such an inexperienced rider. She was patient but explained things so easily that our daughter was able to understand them quickly. There was an older gentleman in a cowboy hat that was fun too. He made sure to show her what to expect when she came into the barn. He was making sure she was practicing safety around the horses as well. He was apologetic if he seemed to be coming down too hard, but it was perfect. I’d rather she learn the expectations quickly especially about safety. Horses are fun, but it’s a responsibility as well. Thank you everyone at Legacy. Hopefully we get to keep going.

High quality facilities. We’ll maintained. Professional, friendly trainers and staff. Signed up for beginner riding lessons and have not been disappointed. Reasonable pricing as compared to other beginner lessons in the Chicagoland area. Not gimmicky like other stables. Recommend to my friends.

I was riding someplace else for 7 months, and started at Legacy in Jan, and have to say I’ve become a much better rider in the last 3 months, and love it here, My instructors have been Betsy and Dolly. The stable itself is beautiful, and the horses are amazing, I could love on them all day long. I am so grateful that I found this place. Definitely check them out. Suzen

I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I did not get a chance to find out if I would. I purchased a Groupon for two horseback riding lessons, and have been unable to get in touch with Legacy River. I have called several times and left several voicemails, and not once did they answer the phone or bother to call me back. After emailing them, they said they did not have any messages. They claim to respond to calls within 24 hours and emails within a few days, but this is clearly not the case. While this may be a wonderful equestrian center, business is clearly not their forte.

The facility is beautiful and always clean. Everyone at the barn is so nice and supporting. The trainers know what they're doing and trying to get me as far as they can.
