I recently enrolled my daughter, Penny, in the LEAP math and reading tutoring program, and I must say our experience has been fantastic so far. As a parent who's been searching for the right tutoring service, I was thrilled to discover LEAP.

From the very beginning, Michelle and Jack were incredibly helpful in explaining LEAP's unique approach. Unlike other tutoring companies that rely on drills or solely offer homework support, LEAP creates a customized curriculum tailored to Penny's needs.

Though Penny is quite shy, she has had great things to say about her tutors, Leah and Emily. They've managed to create a comfortable learning environment for her. Remarkably, Penny has had no complaints about the homework assignments—a testament to the engaging nature of the tutoring sessions.

I highly recommend giving LEAP a try. Our experience thus far has been wonderful, and I'm eager to see the progress Penny will make with their continued support.

My 1st grader has been going to LEAP for English and Math since they opened and we absolutely love this center! All of the tutors are dedicated to the learning and development of the children and do it in a way where the kids feel motivated to learn the material! Moreover, we love the fact that the tutor to children ratio is low so that the learning is more personalized to their needs. At the end of each session, the tutor gives feedback so that the parents understand their child(ren)'s strengths and areas of improvement. I highly recommend LEAP to all students!

My daughter has been going to Leap for a little over a month now and she LOVES it. She’s taking the math class and is always excited to go to her session, always excited to do the homework and I’m already seeing a big improvement in her skills. I couldn’t speak highly enough of Jack & Michelle. You can tell they really care about each child and I appreciate that so much. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for math or reading tutoring in the Bay Area.

My daughter has been coming here for a little over a month now and she loves it! The tutors are very helpful and are able to correct her in a way that she doesn’t feel ashamed to get an answer wrong. She loves math and is only enrolled in the math program for now but we are considering adding piano lessons in the future.

I definitely recommend LEAP! (They also do a Parents Night Out every second and fourth Friday at a reduced price for members!

If your child is struggling or just likes math or ELA you should give LEAP a try!

My 3rd grader has had a great experience at Leap! Her confidence in math has grown exponentially now that she has the individualized attention she needed to grasp the material. The benefits of Leap have extended into our home where homework has become something she looks forward to rather than a nightly battle.

Our daughter (5th grader) and son (TK) have been with LEAP since it opened, taking both Math and English subjects. In the most recent teacher/parent conference, we learned that our daughter improved a whopping 66 points on the STAR test for math over one trimester. By comparison the average improvement for most students is 36 points over the course of a year. Obviously we are pleasantly surprised. And thankful for both her teacher and LEAP.

As for our TK little guy, he has become much more familiar and confident with his alphabets and numbers. Also his writing improved and looks pretty darn good for a five year old.

We appreciate working with the Center Director Michelle and her instructor team. Michelle brings her wealth of teaching experience, and really do care for the learning progress and success of the students. She lives and teaches in Alameda, and knows the school system well. I also appreciate the fact LEAP has a low student-to-instructor ratio.

I like LEAP's location, which is right by Target and Alameda Landing shopping center. It allows me to get groceries and run errands while the kids have their sessions.

Highly recommend Leap Math and Reading! We signed up our 1st grader and he has benefited greatly from their curriculum. The lessons build on the basics that school teaches and takes the learning to another level. After a few months in, we have seen our son’s reading and math improve considerably from where he was initially assessed upon enrollment. Key factors that have contributed to his success include:
1) The low teacher to student ratio ensures there is more 1:1 attention, which is especially helpful when he needs further explanation or has difficulty grasping specific concepts.
2) Michelle, the Director has over 15 years’ teaching experience and is incredibly knowledgeable of the multitude of educational programs and is adaptable to different learning styles. She has done the tedious legwork to review and cull the strengths from different curriculums and worked closely with our son to find the sweet spot that made the learnings click.
3) Leap’s team of instructors are bright, capable and patient. Not only did they help him gain confidence in his academics and discipline in completing assignments, but they also made the learning enjoyable and fun; in fact, now he asks us when he can go back to Leap Math and Reading for his next lesson!
