I'm currently a senior and I worked with Abby and Brett on my SAT score.

I took one of their group SAT tutoring classes and loved it so much. Abby and Brett were super engaging and even though I was spending a few hours of my Saturday to take this class, the time flew by and I was actually having fun while preparing. I got a 1360 after taking the group class and decided to work privately with Abby and Brett to improve my score even further.

Abby was super helpful with scheduling sessions and I had a blast during my 1:1 tutoring sessions with Abby and Brett. Brett is super funny and his teaching style for the reading and writing sections is super unique. He taught me how to recognize and solve the different styles of each type of SAT test question as well as the reading passage category. He was game changing in terms of raising my score. And Abby is the sweetest human being. She is so patient and an amazing math teacher. She helped me with the geometry questions and a lot of what she taught me came up in the August SAT.

Abby and Brett raised my score up to a 1530 and I am SO glad that I chose to work with them.

I’m finding the lack of responsiveness to be quite frustrating, and I’m starting to wonder if this is a Portland thing. Even when money is involved, people here seem very slow to respond. I reached out to a tutor to prepare for an upcoming test and to brush up on a few things. However, when I contacted them, I was simply told, “I’m full with existing students.” While I understand that tutors get busy, my frustration lies in the fact that the website and contact information clearly state availability. To present yourself as open and accessible, only to later turn people away, feels misleading and discouraging. I’ll be happy to find another tutor who is more responsive.
