I love this lake, and every time I come, I wish I lived here. The walk around the lake is long but enjoyable. People relaxing, fishing, and having a good time. During summer, I hear it get very busy and crowded. Overall, this place is more to get away from the city life and to relax. Sit back and enjoy the view and feel the breeze.

Drove up to go to Lake Arrowhead for the 50th time and am so glad my friend and I turned toward Crestline for the first time. Such a pretty little lake, with incredible trees and a wonderful walking trail all the way around. I loved exploring the small town and driving around the lake. Considering Crestline as a retirement destination in a few years.

I’m giving this place 5 stars because I love this area, the rangers and staff were very nice. However, a group of us drove from San Diego for the derby on 4/19. And it could have been ran better. Mainly with fishing not being allowed 24hours prior and non derby fishing to be allow during derby hours. It is fishing and catching isn’t a guarantee, but the schools that swam by were stressed from pressure and those that were caught were few and far between. I am told in some areas of the lake it was not like that, but I saw more looks of disappointment than anything. Other than those two issues, I will continue to come back and enjoy myself with my family and promote the lake.

Its very clean and cold during the winter. Price is $10 per person that is fishing. Your limit is 5. They stock this lake almost every week. The guy next to us caught like 7. I had no bites. He was using a spoon looking luer. It was fun.

This place was so sad. You aren't allowed to swim here, even though I read somewhere that you could. Well, no. There is an extreme amount of dangerous algae that could make you paralyzed and have seizures 😐 that doesn't sound too fun. The park is ok, but the lake is more like a pond. Only fishing and kayaks and boats are allowed. I ended up leaving and going down to Silverwood. The employee was the one who recommended it. Thank you for the recommendation. Be careful with this lake 🥲

There's been an algae bloom since about a week ago. It's progressively gotten worse. The smaller fish are getting choked out. As I walked around the lake, several visitors were also commenting on the condition of the lake. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone can do anything about it. Hope it clears up soon.

This is a follow-up from the previous posting: I drove by the lake a few days ago, and the condition of the water looks well improved. When next I'm by there, I'll take and post updated pics. I hope to spread good news of our beautiful lake. Ciao for now, Peace be with y'all!

This park is the perfect getaway from the city for a weekend. I came with some friends after renting a nearby AirB&B from Friday evening till Sunday at noon. We got here early (like 10am) and we had rented a motorized boat well in advance. If you're going to skip the water park part, like we did, and you already paid for your boat reservation, you can just skip paying at the gate (you explain to them that you're not going to the Waterpark part of the park) and skip getting a wristband, since it's not needed for the boat ride part. The lake itself is so peaceful, there are people doing all sorts of activities, like kayak, rowboat, and even paddleboarding. The nearby town (Crestline) is like a piece of rural North Carolina, in California, so it definitely qualifies as an interesting experience.
