I've had two dogs put to rest here. They are very compassionate and caring people. They understood the horrible grief I was feeling and were very supportive. My pet will be cremated and ashes returned to me. Euthanasia, cremation with ashes returned to me at less than a quarter of the cost of my veterinarian. I can't even express how much their help was to me.

Some people receive some services at this location. Mostly a waste of time and state funds. For the most part they avoid and ignore the dangerous, sick and feral problem animals in the county. Pit-Bull mills, feline leukemia epidemics, rabid animals are among the issues they refuse to address.

The worst experience, these people are racist and profile you. The supervisor Jonathan, berates women of color and try's to talk down to you. He's very aggressive and hostile. He wrote me up for bringing in a stray puppy I found and was sent here, being new to the city I didn't know the rules and I let them know this, he persisted to interrogate me and accused me of lying, he made my mother cry who was just trying to do the right thing and laughed in her face, the workers there all see him do it and do nothing to help, they laugh and snicker in the background. These people don't actually help you. It's a shame they even let people like these work here.

Two years ago I brought my childhood tabby in for cremation after he passed from what I am certain was heart failure. They were kind then and they were kind today, when I brought in the nebelung stray that had moved in after who was in rapid decline and struggling to breathe.

The euthanasia process does not allow pet parents to be present ( after all, who would want to watch the person they trust most be a wreck while they die? ) but it does involve a thorough and lengthy sedation at the hands of loving volunteers who make sure your little ones are at peace.

Affordable and quality care can be hard to find but it can be found here.

They have been very kind at heartbreaking moments of loss with long time companions. Reasonable prices for cremation. Recently had an euthanasia that needed to be done urgently, & even though it was near closing time for them, they told me to come on in. (My regular vet was gone on emergency as well as 2 other clinics) They have done 2 cremation for me & I received back my pets within a week. And at a fraction of cost compared to the private vet clinics.
