At 74 This was my first visit to a senior center. My wife had been here before for senior yoga exercise classes.

What a warm and truly friendly greeting when we entered. We had a great visit, our pedicure appointment with the TRN went very well. When we were done there were ladies gathered in the front having just returned from a group trip.
They were talking about all going to visit the mother Cabrini shrine. My wife used to being her grand parents there for comfort and when she mentioned that she was informed there was 1 spot left for the next day. We signed her up and she w excited to be going with such a great group.

I am impressed, I had a very mistaken understanding of what a "senior center" was. I am very happy my wonderful wife (79) convinced me to join her.

I am looking forward to going back at least once a week of not more just for the companionship I found there.

More I understand what a "senior center" is and how it really makes a difference for seniors in the community.

What a great place! For those of us who are in our early senior years, and those in there later senior years… Lafayette Senior Center is welcoming and warm. They have so much going on I couldn’t make a choice! From laid-back meals, to trips and art classes, I was like a kid in a candy store 🍡❣️ I was hesitant to go in at first, thinking that I might be odd man out. But no worries! There’s something for everyone and there might even be too much for me to try it all. Even being the shy sort, I liked it, and I would suggest it to anybody.

Great place. I had surgery 6 weeks ago. Rented, for $5 per item per month, a cane, Walker and tub/shower bench. What a blessing! And the staff was super helpful.
