When the daycare has complained EVERYDAY for months about things your 3 yr old child is doing, she then gets an injury resulting in her elbow being dislocated and having to be popped back into place at the ER, and then not even a week later being unenrolled without investigation. What would you call that?

Avoid this center!! There are a few good teachers there for young 2 yr olds. But after that good luck! The kids are constantly pulled on and shoved around by teachers, no positive reinforcement, no real curriculum that's been followed up until recent (wonder why), anytime a parent voices concern you will be told you can go somewhere else, they do not follow their guidelines of having behavioral involved should a child seem to require it, and more. They would rather dismiss children than hold the teachers accountable for being lazy! Last week I found my daughter alone in the bathroom with only a shirt on asking for help and looking scared. The assistant director, of which is absolutely never any help, told me where to find her. They do not assist with helping the kids get potty trained and my child completely regressed after leaving the 2s class. My child came home in a pull up they called my mother to come put on at noon. I picked her up at 6pm. She sat in the pull up all afternoon until I got her home! Again, avoid this center and find better!

My daughter attended here for a little over a month. From day one I already felt like this wasn’t the place for my child. First day a teacher grabbed her arm and forced her to sit down to eat. Nap time came around and while watching the cameras i witnessed a teacher put her leg over a child to prevent him from getting up from his bed. I’ve also seen these people force kids heads down as well. NOT OKAY!. I did notice my daughter took a liking to one teacher in particular and I seen her outside while picking my child up. I walked up to the lady and thanked her for being attentive with my child. While doing so this lady had a pint of liquor in her hand. I get it’s the end of the day, but that really turned me off as a parent. They have areas to change the kids yet I seen my daughter and three other kids get changed right in front of the camera standing up. Not okay! My daughter also caught a really bad cold after her teacher let her play outside without shoes on! I addressed my frustration and was told by her teacher that she was doing her best. And that my 2 yr old child refused to put her shoes on. So instead of taking her inside or putting her shoes back on they decided to send pictures of my child outside with no shoes. Having to take my daughter into the ER because of their negligence was my last straw! This place is half ass!

This place is a complete scam. They call you an hour before they open telling you they're not opening today, so you know have to take the day off of work because the babysitter you pay $400 a week decided they didn't want to today because "it's cold" oh, but you still have to pay them full price.

It deeply saddens me to have to write about this, but my child started attending this facility at the age of 3. She had speech difficulties at that time, so I couldn't fully comprehend her experiences. Now that she can communicate effectively, she consistently brings up how this facility traumatized her. She frequently recounts how the teacher was harsh and would yell at her when she cried. My child is now 7 years old, and this morning, on her first day at school, she brought it up again. I wish I knew who the teacher was so that she could be held accountable. However, I firmly believe that the other teachers who witnessed this but did not intervene are also part of the problem, so I cannot recommend this facility.

My niece and nephew had attended la petite academy. As of recently my sister decided to pull them from this facility.
Previously to this decision my sister had addressed multiple concerns to the director Chantelle, regarding her son and the way they would try to “discipline” him in their care. She was always told her son had a bad day, or he was misbehaving. When she would ask what happened or what the situation was, nothing was ever verbally communicated. They would end up my sliding her a piece of paper with no explanation.. this is the parent to this child why don’t they get an explanation?
My niece, who is 6 years old, would come home telling my sister how they would respond to “bad” behavior, most of the time it was tight grip of the wrist and aggressive language… and that’s NO way to handle a non verbal two year old or any child in the matter of fact.
My question is are any of the supervisors certified or licensed in child care and or development? I personally was a summer camp teacher. In order to be fully accept to said job I had to take multiple courses under the Colorado institute of education in order to even be able to be a teacher/supervisor of a class of kids.
Do they know they legally CANT be alone with a child? Do they know that parents have a right to cameras, and updated information if needed or asked? Did you know if anything happens to the child even a bowel accident is supposed to be documented and reported on paper?
I haven’t seen any of that. It’s very unprofessional and these parents have rights to know anything of their well being.

We LOVE Freedom and all the staff at La Petite. Our son was very happy here 6 years ago so we didn't hesitate to go back to them when it was time for our 3 year old to go to day care this year. The morning staff love on her from the moment she steps through the door. Her teachers are wonderful too. Friendly and attentive to all the kids. It's so fun to get the pictures that they take so we get a glimpse into her days there. Freedom is amazing and always willing to work with our crazy schedule. As a nurse working 3 days a week and rarely the same days week to week it is a true blessing to find such a wonderful caring place that is willing to work with us!

My child was only here for a few days before I withdrew him. On the camera live feed, I observed one of my child's teachers putting a blanket over his head to try to get him to go to sleep. He kept pulling it down (probably so he could breathe), but she kept putting it back on. This is not safe! A blanket should never be placed over a child's head, no matter how old they are. Besides this, I found it strange that they keep the light on during nap time in one of the toddler rooms. The director said the state required them to do this because the room was too dark without light. But I have been to many other daycares where dark rooms weren't an issue. How else are they supposed to sleep? There also seemed to be a lot of kids in every room. Way more than any other daycare I have been to. The parking lot is tiny and cramped. Not enough space for the amount of traffic that comes in and out. I would avoid this place.

Our eldest child has attended La Petite for over two years now and we couldn't be happier with the facility. The teachers there genuinely care about the kids and it's clear that the kids love their teachers as well. I find the curriculum to be very engaging and my oldest talks enthusiastically about what he does at school. He's made plenty of friends here too, which contributes to the positive environment. The entire La Petite community is wonderful here. The only drawback is that there is no infant room at the facility, so our youngest will have to wait until age 1 to start, but we're so pleased with the facility that it was never even a question as to whether both kids would be enrolled here.I would not hesitate to recommend this La Petite facility to anyone with day care needs.
