My daughter has been attending Kumon at West U for just three months, and the progress in her reading skills has been remarkable. Seeing her confidence grow with each worksheet is truly rewarding, and we’re excited to enroll her in the math program soon, given the great strides she’s made in reading.

I believe her success is due to three key factors:

1. Great Teachers: The teachers at this location, especially Ms. Lakshmi, are amazing. She is deeply invested in each child’s learning journey, providing personalized attention and encouragement. Her dedication shines through, and it’s evident that she truly cares about the students’ success.

My 7 year old son has been going to Kumon for a little over a year now and I have nothing but great things to say about the West U program and staff. He’s a very happy, talkative, ball of energy all day everyday but I can honestly say that Kumon has played an instrumental role in his development and discipline. He receives instruction for Reading and Math. I’ve seen a great deal of development in both subjects, he’s currently performing well above average for his age and grade level in both. He has become a fluent reader and a lover of math! I have witnessed his confidence sore and have even received notes from school teachers about how he voluntarily helps his friends with their work when they don’t understand.
The staff is also great, specifically Ms. Doris, Happiness and of course Ms. Lakshmi, the center’s director. She’s always helpful and keeps my husband and I in the loop with our son’s progress. She very responsive and helpful and we absolutely love her!
I highly recommend Kumon to all our friends. The program works and I believe the secret sauce really lies in the parent’s involvement. Teaching your child to follow through on their commitments and responsibilities (homework) and that it’s ok to ask for help and make mistakes when you’re unsure have been some of things that have contributed to my son’s success in the program. Thank you, West U Kumon! We appreciate all that you do and the love and commitment you put into your work teaching young minds!

Kumon just works . It give enough practice at each level that kids really don’t need to do any other worksheets , tutoring or preparation. From my personal experience key to success is finishing the homework and continue Kumon during school breaks . It has helped my children navigate in school with confidence.

I would encourage reading the details of the planned curriculum and contract closely to be sure the expectations of how instruction will be delivered and how feedback from children are are understood as it does not work well for all students. Consider spending additional time becoming familiar with the center and process before committing.
