We came to Kings Kids from a small home daycare. I was so nervous for my son to be at a center but they welcomed us with opened arms and have been so amazing. They post updated throughout the day to show what the kids are up to. The one time I had a concern Ms. ray was so nice and understanding about it. My son ask everyday to go to his “new school”. 10/10 recommendations.

Kings Kids has been great for the short time we've been there. My son had to make a quick transition to this daycare and I was nervous with me already being deployed and him adapting to so much change. Nevertheless, the staff has made this experience comforting and seamless, as the parent who's away and for his dad who's handling a lot on his own. We get updates throughout his day, pictures of him learning, weekly menus, and just small things that any parent would be interested to know. Ezra's dad and I have already seen so much improvement in his potty training and overall cognitive skills. We highly recommend this daycare!

My son absolutely loves this school, and as a parent, that means the world to me. It’s such a blessing to find a place where the teachers and staff truly care about the children and are committed to seeing them grow, both academically and personally. Mrs. Desire and her staff show so much patience, kindness, and dedication every single day. Their communication is excellent, and I always feel confident that my son is in the best hands. The way they teach, guide, and nurture the kids makes such a difference, and I can see how much my son is learning and thriving here. I am so thankful for the love and support they pour into him, and I honestly cannot recommend this school enough. They have created such a positive, safe, and encouraging environment, and I’m grateful my son gets to be a part of it!

I do not have enough words to explain how wonderful Kings Kids has been for our daughter. Our daughter has struggled at the last 2 daycares she attended (eventually resulting in being dismissed), but something here just clicked. We are no longer getting constant messages and phone calls like previous places to tell us to come pick our daughter up due to “not being able to handle her.” Kings Kids is reliable (we’ve had experiences with constant closures previously). They’re truly a wonderful place. The environment is so calming and welcoming. I knew the moment I toured this daycare that our daughter could thrive here, and she definitely has. The level of patience that every teacher has is unmatched and I can tell they truly love what they do. Mrs. Ray embraced our daughter, without judgment, and has really made a difference in her experience at school. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Kings Kids has surpassed any expectations I had!

I couldn’t be happier with the care my baby receives at this daycare! The staff is so warm, patient, and truly treats each child like their own. Communication with parents is always clear, and I love how they create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment every day. Kings Kids Day Care and Learning Center has been the best child care center in the area for us and our grandson. The teachers are excellent. They are attentive and compassionate as they treat our grandson as would their own. We are elated to have our grandson at Kings Kids Daycare and Learning Center. My son has been attending King’s Kids for just under a month, and so far, they have been fantastic. This was a very difficult transition for our family—we never planned on putting our son in daycare. Unfortunately, our family member who watched him full-time became very ill, and we had no other choice but to find childcare, or I would have had to leave my new career. I prayed and cried over this decision for weeks.

We toured multiple daycares in the area, but none felt right. One in particular was so disorganized and messy that I almost gave up. When we visited King’s Kids, I immediately felt at peace. The center was clean, spacious, and open, with plenty of room for children to play and explore. Our son is 9 months old and very active, so it was important to us that he had space to move around safely. The nursery is large and even has an extra area for active babies to play. The caregivers are incredibly kind and it’s clear they truly care about the children. My son is always happy and excited to go to daycare, which gives me so much comfort and peace of mind. They use the Brightwheel app to keep families updated throughout the day and also send home a daily report that includes meals, nap times, and diaper changes. The only minor issue we’ve had is that Brightwheel updates sometimes stop coming, and the take-home sheet occasionally isn’t fully filled out—but we understand how hectic things can get! We trust he is being well taken care of, but we do get frequent messages from family members asking why their hasn’t been updates.

Another note for parents: the center follows the Athens City Schools calendar for breaks and holidays, so they are closed during those times and will still charge for the full week. This doesn’t bother us since I’m a teacher and off around those same dates. We also understand they have to pay the bills to keep the doors open and employees paid.

The tuition is a bit higher than some other daycares in Athens, but you are absolutely paying for quality care, and that peace of mind is priceless. Lastly, I love that this is a Black-owned business; it’s wonderful and empowering to see here in Athens, Alabama.
We love Kings Kids and we highly recommend for your little ones!

King kids and its staff are nothing short of amazing, from the care, to communication, to the love my baby receives. My baby lights up every morning when he hears all the laughs and talking from the other children. As a first time mom, I picked the perfect daycare.
