When starting Jess Health for phlebotomy I was nervous and scared at the same time but once I attended my first class I was more comfortable because I saw Mrs. Jess Mrs. Betty and Ms. Sherika were not in the business of letting you fail!!!! I love the fact that they are very family oriented and treat you like family as well. I love the fact that she was willing to work with your on payments because she knew everyone goes through something. My course was 6 weeks but once we explained to Mrs. Betty we needed an extra week of class before we went on our externship she understood and gave us and extra week (even though she was confident in us) I doubted myself during the first day of my externship because I was so nervous but once I got there and actually got to stick my first pt I felt good about it because it was everything I learned in class!!!! That even goes for the actual certification exam it’s NO reason no one should fail they give you another chance to take it and the information you learn in class is the test! The key to passing is STUDYING the information THEY give you!! I love Mrs. Jess and I can’t wait to come back for Medical Assistant!!

I am highly disappointed and unsatisfied with the structure of this program. When I first came to sign up for the class reading through the documents I noticed a lot of “non refundable” clauses that made me question if I should pursue this program under this company. I decided to continue. In the orientation you are giving many rules and regulations and again the non refundable policy is highly questionable. We were told we would do our first two weeks online and the remaining in person. The online lecture were horrible. The instructor did not provide proper consistent information. The lectures were all over the place. We constantly dealt with internet issues and zoom issues as if the instructor had not used the software before. This would take up 30/40 mins of the class time in itself. The onsite class work was helpful but again unorganized. We are told to stick our peers which can get old because you’re usually sticking the same person. We were told to go home and stick people which I think is not appropriate. If you are a phlebotomy program you should have health sites available to send students to do phlebotomy practice. It gives them range on different scenarios and more experience. The staff treats the program like a fly by night program. This class should be more than 6 weeks with actual trained instructors who are actively in the field of this work and have thoroughly read through the chapters to explain your lectures better. The program is taught by all family members which can be an issue. As a student I feel unprepared not confident to go to externship. Externship information has yet to sent out. We are in the 6/7th week. The class should teach students more than just finding a vein. Students should feel confident. Also, you do have the option to do a dual program phlebotomy/lab assistant but here is where I feel this is a scam. You pay more but you’re not in a separate class. So the regular phlebotomy only students are in the same class with the dual students getting the same information. You’re paying for the second certification which does not help because again, you’re not learning much information on the phlebotomy side alone. Communication is not well. Moving locations in the middle of class terms was not considerate. We should not have to provide people to come and stick when we are paying $800+ for a program.
The uniforms feel like paper. They are of no quality what so ever. Quizzes were administered in an unorganized manner and not timely either. I honestly feel like this business gets away with this program because it is the only program besides Baptist health that offers phlebotomy but it is not worth the money. I wish I could leave a better review but before anyone spends their money read this and entirety. The staff is sweet. The company has potential but there needs to be a. Sit down with people who can help better assist as a company and as a teaching school.
People pay good money to be taught well and to feel confident when leaving the program

Good evening, My name is Christine Kodya and I’m currently in your 6 week course for “phlebotomist” and I have some concerns I wanted to address. This program the lasts supposedly “6” weeks going on 7 has been extremely unorganized. We have not learned half the material you said we were going to learn. For example color of drama and etc. You make us take notes on stuff you do not speak or “teach” on. I’m not asking sympathy but I’m going to make it clear. I’m a 22 year old working full time attempting to pay all my bills with this crazy society. I don’t get to live at home. My family with their hard earning money willing paid for this class for me and I have no learned or feel comfortable enough to even stick a needle to a human being for a living. Also the first 2 weeks was via zoom. Class never started for almost 30-40 mins every time we signed in at 6:30. I work 12 hour shifts as a Correctional officer and some days are hard. I was willing to make time and study for this class but you have no organization of this class. On top of that y’all never advised us in advance EXPECT THE DAY BEFORE they y’all would be moving. Because yall moved when class still was going changed my drive from 30 mins to 45 mins. My job willingly let me leave early because I was attempting to progress my knowledge. Now you say we had to do an externship. I have emailed my nurses information to you all on June 20th and they have yet to receive anything for me to complete my externship. Here we are July 9. I feel none of us has practice or learned enough to just get a job doing this. It is also very unprofessional to call ONE STUDENT and they have to relay to us that school is canceled or that we have to take our practice test. But as far as I’m concerned I’m done with this class.

I recently attended Jes Health Services for Billing and Coding. The program was $750 and I’m Still Trying to figure out what I paid for ? I feel ripped off! The program was rushed and I didn’t get half of what I thought I was getting. I only got 1 scrub top , no badge (which was supposed to be included) , no real book just ran off copies in a binder. Very disorganized. I didn’t receive proper study material for the exam. Majority of my class didn’t pass the exam because we didn’t have proper study material. They don’t help with job placement for this program. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this school for billing and coding . I want a refund !!

If it is possible to give no stars for this business/"educational services": it would be given to them. I'm a former student at JES Health Educational Services , and my experience with this educational center was less than enjoyable and educational. I was apart of their dental assistant program ( which is only a online course ; no one within the building is certified dental assistant/educator) , once completing the course and start job searching for the current field of dental assisting: majority of dental offices do not hire individuals who doesn't have actual hands on training .
Second reason behind this involuntary one star rating are the staff and the ghetto graduation ceremony that was held for graduates . The staff at the Montgomery location lacks any type of manners with their rude attitudes and demeanor. This was the most rudest bunch of individuals that I've ever encountered. Upon graduation, I was contacted by school administrator Jessica about taking certification exam after the fact ,I've contacted them several times throughout the week about the state certification exam. Once I got to graduation , I was told that I would have to drive back the educational center ( I live over 2 hours away from the educational center) and take the exam because the online course administrator ( in Jessica's words ) wouldn't allow me to take certification after the fact of not receiving any emails or any return phone calls about it prior. Also, I paid $20 dollars for cap and gown without everything in it .
So , I would highly recommend that you consider finding another institution with actual certified dental assistants who can properly educate you to become a certified dental assistant as I did .

Total rip off .. I showed interest in medical billing course. I was assured that being out of the state wouldn't be a problem. Time progressed and the initial start date was pushed to Jan 2021 because of what was explained as a "oversight" of documents being submitted in their entirety . I was told it was due to timing as they had a graduation . I was disappointed but accepted it as human error & was looking forward to starting after new year. Well that never happened , They're very unprofessional and unorganized . Although I had called and emailed periodically, time sllipped away yet again . I finally received a call on a Friday about class that was to start that following Monday with no communication prior on their end . I was utterly appalled at the level of disorganization of this establishment. Expected to pay over 200.00 in such a short time , with no books or so much as a welcome pack sent . It was at this point I knew that preceding further was not wise. I formally requested to be removed from registration and requested fee returned . I have since filed a few complaints with B.B.B in hopes of receiving monies.
