I cannot recommend JB Tutoring enough, especially under the guidance of Jaclyn Barber, the owner and founder. I worked with Jaclyn for both ACT prep and college essay writing, and the results were nothing short of incredible. I cannot recommend Jaclyn Barber enough. She helped both of my kids with their college applications and essays, as well as helping my son with his SAT. Both of my children were accepted to the university of their first choice, (hook ‘em!), and my son raised his SAT score significantly. I have referred her to all of my friends that have graduating seniors and they also sing her praises. She’s the best!

We have worked with JB Tutoring for over a year and highly recommend. My son has been getting help with math from UT students (now on his second tutor after his first graduated) as well as ACT test preparation with Jaclyn. My son struggles with standardized tests and Jaclyn has been instrumental in preparing him as best as possible for the ACT. The practice and personal attention has boosted his skills as well as his confidence.

UPDATE Fall 2024: My son worked with Jaclyn to prepare his college applications, short answers, and essays. He was accepted to 6/7 of the schools he applied to, including his top choice. Jaclyn is patient, knowledgeable, and provided valuable feedback in helping my son craft essays that were authentic and clearly used his own voice. He credits his acceptance to his university mostly to his essay! Highly recommend!

Jaclyn worked with us to find the right French tutor for our ninth grader. Regina had great skills and enthusiasm, and our daughter enjoyed working with her.
