We signed up for SHSAT prep with Ivy Tutors Network to create a small tutoring group with our daughter and a friend. Our tutor was Nicole, who is incredible and, as Stuyvesant graduate, knows what she's talking about.

Richard and Lisa, who run the program were very good with communication. We received a reminder of our weekly appointment a couple days beforehand and a detailed accounting of how it went from Nicole after each session.

In our experience, Ivy Tutors also balances concerns about putting too much pressure on kids, which I appreciate. Our daughter really enjoys each session.

I will try to update once our daughter takes the test in the fall but I am very pleases with what I have seen so far.

UPDATE: our daughter got into Bronx Science. Very happy with the result, of course, but also that Nicole made the test prep quite enjoyable for our daughter. Highly recommend.

We booked one of the most expensive online tutors Ivy tutors Networks offers expecting top results.
My son has an upcoming exam and of course time is of the essence. We made are online appointment more than 7 days in advance for one of the times the tutor showed as available and Ivy provided us with a link to are scheduled tutoring session. They have are credit card information on file so we assume everything is scheduled and ready.
The day of the tutoring we log in and the portal opens and were online it appears but there's no one else there.
We try to contact Ivy but there's no one there because its 5.10pm and that's what i assume they consider after hours. They don't have contact information available for any after hours help. So now we are 10 days closer to the exam and have not received and tutoring help thanks to a bad system.
So if you want to waste valuable time then use Ivy otherwise look elsewhere.

We’ve used Ivy Tutors in the past to prep for the high school entry exams. And now recently to prep for the SATs. My daughter’s SAT results have improved over 300 points! We have been lucky enough to be able to use Ivy Tutors for our daughter during this pandemic. My office put together a "Tutor Pod" for kids who have been doing remote learning and honestly it has been the BEST experience for her. All four of the tutors from Ivy that we have had the pleasure of working with have been amazing. They are kind, helpful, engaging and most importantly seem to enjoy being there and working with the kids. I have had nothing but great experiences with Ivy Tutors! My son was really struggling in Math and his tutor has helped him to, not only improve, but to really start to like math. His test scores have really improved in just a couple of months!
