Dr. Mannis and I have collaborated directly as colleagues for over five years, turnkeying findings from neuropsychological testing so she can develop, guide and provide practical educational support and advocacy. Prior to our direct collaboration, our paths intertwined within an international listserv dedicated to pediatric neuropsychology, where Dr. Mannis consistently impressed me with her profound and thoughtful contributions spanning several decades. Renowned for her expertise as a learning specialist, Dr. Mannis is held in high regard by leaders within the realm of pediatric neuropsychology. It was this exceptional reputation that initially drew me to seek her guidance on educational planning. As a neuropsychologist who interacts with a diverse array of professionals, I find Dr. Mannis to be a truly exceptional individual in our field. Her specialization in the realm of testing, which unravels the 'why' behind an individual's learning profile, coupled with her extensive experience in translating this knowledge into actionable strategies—the 'how'—sets her apart.

With a wealth of practical knowledge encompassing specific schools, curricula, instructional methodologies, adaptive technologies, securing appropriate accommodations, and leveraging developmental models for pivotal adjustments, Dr. Mannis stands out for her ability to navigate complex cases with finesse. Whether aiding students grappling with medically-rooted learning challenges, those who are both gifted and disabled, or individuals classified as 'twice exceptional,' Dr. Mannis showcases a unique blend of expertise in both the testing process and its practical implications.

Noteworthy is Dr. Mannis's warm demeanor, collaborative spirit, and unwavering dedication to her clients and the field at large. Amidst differing ideologies and professional factions concerning intervention, learning, and development, Dr. Mannis emerges as a beacon of impartiality, ensuring that clients and colleagues alike receive well-considered, unbiased information.

Her extensive experience, penchant for mentorship, and knack for illuminating the intricacies of assessment scores to breathe life into data are truly commendable. By enlisting Dr. Mannis's expertise, one can expect testing scores, like mine, to be infused with compassion, expertise, boundless enthusiasm, and the utmost ethical standards.

I wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Mannis, whether for ongoing educational support or as a consultant capable of equipping you with the insights and roadmap needed to enrich your own learning journey or that of your child.

I connected with Dr. Mannis on social media through a mutual facebook group and quickly learned she would be able to help my son that is currently in college. She discussed the role of language processing and memory when learning lots of detailed information for his exams and strategies to manage learning new content. It was a very successful relationship and I highly recommend Dr. Mannis for your educational support needs.

Dr. Mannis has guided us at multiple steps from grade school to entering college - she was a resource for testing, figuring out about schools, accommodations, and proper instruction - not to mention how to talk with and engage our child as an active participant in their learning and strong self-advocate. Our child has excelled through high school and is off to college. Most recently, Dr. Mannis was spot on in guiding us about managing a time frame for accommodations for college. The college was very responsive, thus reducing stress, saving money and targeting a timeline to optimize testing for beyond college.

Dr. Mannis was the person I turned to as a single parent of two sons (one of whom has A.D.H.D.) managing schooling across two continents and three countries, each with its own way of teaching and policies. Dr. Mannis was there to guide me about what to do - when and where - depending on the next step and the school they were in. My boys went on to excel at their schools, although there were challenges on the way. Dr. Mannis also helped me figure out how to help them get entry into boutique programs where they would thrive and adjust as multinational students. In the end, Dr. Mannis helped me navigate the details, and got to know our family and how to get the schools on board. They have since graduated U Penn and U Miami respectively, and are both successful businessmen in their own fields. My sons have the skills and confidence to do anything they want and I remain grateful to Dr. Mannis.

I had the good fortune to meet Dr. Rebecca Mannis more than 25 years ago at a Private Day School in Nassau County. I was on the executive staff and Dr. Mannis was a guest lecturer , presenting to a parent body of several hundred, plus faculty and administrators. Dr. Mannis was a graduate of the school some prior years back. She was at the forefront in her field in recognizing the growing need in providing an array of professional services to educationally challenged children, children with learning disabilities and as well to gifted to students. Her discussion that evening kept every person glued to their seats as they listened and savored her every word and the scope of her knowledge. I have kept in close contact with her all these years.

If you are considering hiring Dr. Mannis and the Ivy Prep team, then you need look no further than the services provided and the accolades she has received on her website. During one of my many conversations with her throughout the years, I asked, what distinguishes you from other such companies providing "similar services"? Her reply was, "to the world of other companies, you are just another person, but to me you and your every need are the world". Dr. Mannis indeed takes that inner spark of possibility within every child and young adult, and fans it into glowing flames of achievement. Her ethics are of the highest standards and she truly leaves no stone as an obstacle, in making certain that every thought and consideration, every lead is provided to address the needs at hand, and the needs going forward.

I can indeed attest to my comments, as I have personally seen the fruits of Dr. Mannis' efforts with a member of my extended family. She has a most caring heart and you will or be thankful that you made the correct decision as I am.

Our daughter Natalie was diagnosed with a brain tumor when she was 8 years old; as a result she suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) which caused loss of peripheral vision, short memory loss and information processing issues. These side effects provided significant challenges to Natalie’s education. Natalie’s oncologist recommended that we meet with Dr. Rebecca Mannis. Dr. Mannis provided critical support in developing Natalie’s education program. She educated us and Natalie’s teachers on the effects on TBI and what modifications needs Natalie required. Dr. Mannis provided critical compensating teaching techniques that were incorporated in Natalie’s educationa program. Since the first meeting with Dr. Mannis Natalie flourished in school. She is excelled in all her classes even difficult ones like science and math. Natalie enjoys attending school and is rarely absent because she doesn’t want to miss it. I know if we were not introduced to Dr. Mannis we would have never known what educational support Natalie required. Also without her support during meetings with the teachers and school administrators we would not have been able to convince them to implement all of Dr. Mannis’s recommendations. Dr. Mannis’s support, educational recommendations and guidance was a critical part of Natalie’s continued success at school. Natalie is now teacher's assistant for preschool children, which would not have been achievable without Dr. Mannis support and guidance.
Thank you for your professionalism, educational expertise and support, Joseph & Elizabeth Cozzolino, East Northport NY.

Dr. Mannis has been my go-to resource for years. Every kid is unique, and Dr. Mannis gets that. She has helped us navigate the application process for college, graduate school and beyond. The whole process of figuring out where and how to apply was incredibly overwhelming. Dr. Mannis helped guide us and allowed my children to follow their interests and apply to the places that were right for them. She helped us figure out what testing they needed and how to apply to the places that would be the best fit for them. My husband and I have referred countless people to her with the utmost confidence. Her nonprofit quietly helps kids in need with exciting programs and provides support for people and schools who cannot afford private help. Dr. Mannis provides incredible support in executive functioning, college planning and prep and support for kids and families at all different stages of their careers. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Mannis and Ivy Prep Learning Center.
