I have done many different programs and teachings out there that were all good but I would eventually revert back to all of my old ways. When I was introduced to IMS, it was the fist time in all of the training I had done, that was creating results that were becoming my new way of being and not reverting back. I was experiencing peace in a way I had never known which was affecting all of the areas of my life. I am more than a satisfied customer - I do what works and this training creates quick long lasting results. Now my whole family does this work and we are living our best lives! So grateful.

Nine years ago, I was in such a state of high anxiety, still grieving over the loss of my seven-year old son to cancer and managing the posttraumatic stress from his year of treatments. I was invited by a friend to read The Inner Matrix and attend a Power of Emotion weekend. There, I was given permission not only to feel what I had been suppressing for years, but also to take the important next step of choosing what I would like to feel instead. I chose peace, and committed to the daily work of transformation. IMS is for everyone and anyone who wants to wake up each day to peace and possibility, and who is willing to commit the time to learning and engaging the tools. Today, my vision is to help people who have been mourning a lost loved one to reclaim their lives and choose peace moving forward. I will be forever grateful to Joey Klein for creating and sharing the IMS inner training curriculum that has allowed me to live with joy and purpose again, and I am proud of myself for diving in, and making my mental and emotional health a priority. Peace is possible here. . .

At the behest of a friend, I joined IMS a couple years ago. I did multiple conferences, weekly group sessions and a personal trainer.

I found the weekend conferences overrated. I always left wanting to have spent that time and money on doing the things to achieve my goals. For what you pay, the paper packets are cheap. The group work is chaotic. A lot of people projecting change but not actually changing. Some people had behavioral disorders that IMS was not equipped to handle. This was especially frustrating when Joey would disparage therapists but I would see the same people over and over again failing through his system and not getting the care they needed.

Joey has the cliche story of an American self help guru. The trails and tribulations of a hard youth, romanticization of the East and martial arts. Don’t worry, he will tell you about these things every Friday before a conference. He and his app reminded me of Sam Harris and his app. Except Sam Harris did the real work and got his PhD in this stuff.

IMS is very much a business. How else does Joey afford those quarter million dollar Porsches he likes to talk about? I was appalled my first conference when they asked new members to be early one morning. They swarmed me on getting a trainer for I think a thousand dollars. I remember saying, please, let me get indoctrinated first. IMS always says “there’s always something to work on” as long as you’re working through them and paying them. I think that’s where the cult like vibe comes from.

I enjoyed the group work outside of the conferences. I enjoyed my trainer but I shopped around and didn’t settle with the trainer they wanted to assign to me.

I won’t say Joey’s modality of personal mastery is bad. It’s a good supplement if your head’s on straight but take the lessons and go on your own. If need be, come back and practice with a group. Or go see a real therapist in person. Don’t give them the absurd amount of money they ask for unless you can really afford it.

The IMS Vision weekend was eye opening. I had not seen the fear based emotions that were operating within me like a computer operating system. The work and meditations helped me to see and understand. Now I see where I can train the emotions that will become the new operating system.

Just finished the Power of Focus, weekend training… my biggest take away is we have a CHOICE; how we decide to relate to any experience in our life, and it’s literally the story we tell ourselves about said experience that creates our reality… this awareness is a game changer! Everyone needs to know this!
