New mask fit perfectly. I have never had a mask fit well before, went here and tried on a few. The owner recommended the largest one they had, and I was skeptical, but it was amazing. Took it on an hour long dive and didn’t have to clear or defog my mask once. Absolutely 5 starts.

Recently completed open water certification. I Would recommend Illinois Institute of diving. Safety and a functional knowledge of diving is what is taught here. Enjoyed the process and Instructors.

I have been a customer of IID since 2003 and have always received excellent professional service. Instructors are top notch, and I have received all my certifications from their various instructors and have never had a bad experience at IID. Their pricing on gear purchases are excellent! They are always competitive with the big box online stores, but you have the added advantage of getting your gear professionally fitted, and advise from people that have been in the Scuba business for many years. IID is truly a one stop store for all your Scuba needs.

If you are looking into getting scuba certified, look no further than the Eco Dive center. It is fast, fun and one of the best experiences you can sign up for! I was lucky enough to get three of the best dive instructors out there; Ron, Tim and Jason, you guys are the best!!!

OK, so as a total surprise, my wife got me open water lessons for fathers day. Full disclosure- I am not and have never been a "water guy". I am not a great swimmer nor am I some kind of great athlete (or even close). But I have always been fascinated by the undersea world that I have not yet ever explored except on TV. So I reached out to John (shop owner) about a month or so later to find out how this all worked (I am brand new to scuba). He got me setup with the basic equipment I would need (mask, snorkel, dive booties, and fins) for well under the retail price (I did check online afterwards). They provide, free of charge, all the rest of the gear you need to get certified (tanks, wetsuits, regulators, etc.) Then, off to my e-learning course online where you learn all the safety topics, background about Scuba, risks, procedures, etc. After that, you schedule a weekend at a local pool with the instructor where you first learn your basic skills in full equipment, and the next weekend is in the open water honing those skills and going on "real" dives down to about 50 feet deep. Let me tell you, it is amazing. These guys have a great operation. Everyone is 100% safety focused. There is no screwing around. They train you to be a SAFE diver, and then once you are certified as a SAFE diver, its up to you to go on some dives to get good at the sport and have FUN. This is not a sightseeing course. Also, as a side benefit, you are doing your open water training dives in a freshwater quarry, so you are learning in cooler water with lower visibility, which will make diving in warm, clear ocean water of the caribbean, florida or mexico an easy transition. Bottom line is, if you are interested in Scuba, call John. Their instructors (John included) are excellent and it is hard for me to imagine a better price out there. So for the training course, equipment i bought, and the 2 quarry fees, I was all in for under $700 and now I can go scuba diving pretty much anywhere in the world. Highly recommended.

Great value class. Chris is very nice & patient and taught us detailed knowledge about snorkeling both in the classroom and in the pool. We learnt so much from him.
