Ideal Avaition has been an opportune place to start my Avaition experience. They have friendly staff and are very communicative with your needs. They allow you to train at your own pace and doesn’t hurt that they have some great CFI(I)’s that are eager to get you your wings. Hope to keep seeing their fleet grow soon!

Ideal Aviation was great! They were a part of a special Aviation Event for 5-12th grade educators led by the Illinois Math & Science Academy held at the St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, IL. Ideal flight instructors took educators on flights and provided them with a first hand learning experience. Instructors were very professional and knowledgeable. Ideal Aviation leadership was willing to be flexible with plans to meet the needs of participants.

My instructor Will is probably the best fit I could have asked for in any flight instructor. He always knows when to take over and when I am feeling stressed during flight and makes flying feel normal even when in high stress situations. As well as Mary and Kim always help get my payments through at anytime I need it. Overall I have had a great experience with Ideal since starting my Private course.

I have been a student at this flight school for several months now. It has been a great experience from the very first phone call that I made to inquire about the program to now. The staff at the front desk has been amazing. Every question via phone call or email to them was immediately responded to. I was matched to a CFI who has been very accommodating. He continually makes himself available to adapt to my work schedule. He has always been very responsive to my communications. Best of all he is patient and challenges me without making me feel incapable. I would recommend Ideal Aviation to anyone that is interested in aviation as either a career or hobby.

I had a really bad experience at ideal aviation first : they are not organized regarding anything and specifically regarding billing they charger my card extra and didn’t return it back even though when I provided them with my bank statement, secondly they aircrafts are not safe at all i was flying and had to land couple times bc of the oil pressure went really high and touched the red , and that happened 3 times , third: the instructor wasn’t professional he doesn’t follow up at all even when i texted him he didn’t answer and always on his and when im at school before any flight he keeps talking to his friends instead of giving tips or helping thro the pre flight, and again dont leave your card on file they will charge it extra , and dont put full trust in the aircrafts bc they are not well maintained

I did a discovery flight with Steve. He was incredibly welcoming, positive, optimistic, encouraging, all the good stuff. The facilities were great, the aircraft in great shape. I've not yet begun formal lessons, but I had a tremendously good time and look forward to continuing my education here.
