This school is terrible. If I could go back in time and tell myself to never step foot in it, I would. The policies are absolutely ridiculous and impossible to implement if you at all have work or a social life outside of school. The teachers don’t have much skill and don’t help you at all. The school is solely focused on making money and the cosmetology program is outrageously priced around $30,000 when you can get a much better education at Loveland schools for much cheaper. Save yourself the money and wasted time and go anywhere else.

I am in the cosmetology program. I would list it as 0 stars if I could. DO NOT ENROLL AT THIS SCHOOL. I wish I would have done my research before coming here. The rules and policies are constantly changing and not for the better. I don’t know one student that is enjoying their time here. Unfortunately it’s too late for me to switch schools but I HIGHLY recommend finding somewhere else to go. They do not care about the education for their students they are only concerned about making money.

Love this place for a massage but really wish they would have an environmentally friendly way of celebrating graduates instead of pounds of plastic confetti strewn all over the parking lot that is not cleaned up. Please do better for the environment!!! It will end up in the poudre.

When I was a student here I experienced teachers gossiping about other students in front of their current class, teachers complaining to others about how inconvenient it was for them to lecture during the evening hours, and an instructor who could not pronounce the medical terms she was lecturing on. The medical textbooks are out of date and some still teach about procedures that have since been deemed harmful. The program is four times more expensive than competing schools and the administration will attempt to get students to recruit others for their "Circle of Hope" program which is really just a means of funneling more money into the school. It's clear the school's main concerns are to make sure they are the first returned result on a Google search for Theraputic Massage, and to make it incredibly easy to enroll. The classes are designed to make it nearly impossible to fail (the answers to the tests will be given to the class) in order to accelerate students through the program at a breakneck speed without ensuring they are actually learning material to pass a licensure test. The primary concern of the staff in charge seems to be making sure students follow the dress code instead of addressing any of these issues. Large components of the coursework are also online which is not made clear to students beginning in the program. For a hands on oriented degree like massage, the failure to communicate that a significant amount of classes are entirely the opposite was disappointing. When I transferred out of the program the director of education called to confirm my decision and I told him it was 90% likely that I would be leaving. That night when I went to class my door badge and student portal had been deactivated and there was no exit meeting or official paperwork issued to indicate the end of my attendance.
Furthermore, as I attempted to continue schooling at a different program, IBMC's disorganization presented itself again. It took nearly three months for the school to officially submit a cancellation of my pending federal funds for the rest of the program. This was after multiple phone calls and meetings with financial aid, and caused me to incur a late fee for class tuition at my new school as I was waiting for federal funds to transfer over and it took IBMC so long to start this process that I missed the deadline to pay for class. They also insisted I could not receive a refund for my textbooks even though I was only in possession of one for two days after the start of a class I would not be taking, and they charged me for a massage table and a "technology kit" that I was never awarded. This was something I was able to get refunded however, only after I requested to see the ledger of my charges and would have otherwise gone unnoticed. The first correspondence I received from the school after my departure was a bill for $1770 with a huge "Past Due" stamp on it and no explanation of where the expenses came from. For four classes, one of which was a pointless "Psychology of Success" class where we watched Ted Talks, one of which was the Medical Term class lead by the unqualified instructor, I now have nearly $7000 in expenses.
Please dodge this moneygrab, and look elsewhere.

I went here for the first time have no idea why I didn't go before. It helps the students and it's cheap. I got an hour massage and it was great. Other places charge 4 times the amount and are not very good. The place was clean and they were friendly. I will be going back.. I see they do haircuts.. 3 times cheaper than any place and I can't find anyone to get the cut right. 30.00 I pay for a horrible haircut . I've been looking for a long time. I'll definitely give them a try. I was impressed.. and I will be back. 💯🙌🤗🥰💆 Wish I went here years ago. Great job!!! ☺️

I have had my nails and eyebrows done at the IBMC Salon in Ft. Collins several times in the last year. I am amazed at the skill level of the Cosmetology students there. I have also had a massage in their Massage Clinic from John and was amazed at how much better I felt after. I would recommend IBMC Salon and Massage Clinics for anyone who is looking for at great service. I would also recommend the college to anyone wanting to make a change in there lives. The students there have made a great step in changing their lives, while making my day better every time I am there.

This school is awful. I am currently in the the esthetician program. They don’t care about this program at all. The curriculum is awful after our first 3-4 sessions (five weeks in each session) there was no more set curriculum. Which means I’ve spent so much time sitting around doing absolutely nothing. I am able to do a few services a week and the rest of the time I’m on my phone. If I want to learn anything it has to be of my own accord. I believe the curriculum needs to be updated so we can continue to learn until we graduate. Multiple teachers have told me how important it is to know and understand ingredients in skin care, yet the curriculum barely goes into ingredients. They have job fairs with potential employers and have 5-6 hair salons and had ulta come in for us estheticians. No spas or waxing studios. It shows how little they care about where we go after this. The person we were told would help place us in jobs has not spoken to anyone in our class except to say that we need to tell her when we get a job or she’ll, in her words, “track us down” and figure out where we work. It’s insane that IBMC would try to take credit for a job I found in my own. The spa is awful, most of the machines are old and falling apart. The steamer I was using on a client almost fell apart when I tried to adjust it. We constantly run out of necessities. In the past few weeks we’ve run out of distilled water for the steamer multiple times. We ran out of a cleanser that we all use in most of our services. I know this school is appealing because they take financial aid, but other schools do too, and this school does not care about it’s students. The only thing that has made this school tolerable is my teacher Ms. Heather, she actually listens to us and teaches us outside of the curriculum the best she can. I have learned so much from her and she is the best thing about this school.
