The staff at Huntington was very focused on preparing my son for the SAT exam, and they worked very methodically with him. He is much more confident after his preparation with the staff at Huntington, and his score got him into his first choice college! The owner and tutors are always helpful, and they care about the students improving not only their scores, but also their confidence!

My oldest spent 6 weeks over summer preparing for the ACT (score 33) and then another 6 weeks preparing for the SAT (spring score 1280, fall score 1430) so it improved 150 points.

The staff was helpful when we had a moment that we felt as though just attending the sessions wasn't enough and they encouraged my daughter to do the practice exams, dig into the missed questions and then do more practice. THAT is what made the difference - that there were ways IN ADDITION to simply meeting with tutors to prepare.

The tutors were amazing - and the staff listened to our concerns and changed when we felt it would be more advantageous.

I love that the services at Huntington are so personalized. There was a plan at first but then they were very flexible to change plans for my student. My teenager felt like the teachers really listened to him. This was important to getting him on board.
They really got to know him and tailored his lessons to him. That was very important.
Feedback (parent) at least monthly or sooner if needed. sometimes the teachers knew our schedule better than we did. They were willing to work with us and his other activities.
Very positive experience. I have even signed up a sibling.

Our son started at Huntington Learning Center when we noticed him struggling to identify his letters when he was almost through his kindergarten year. At that point, he really dreaded going to school because he felt lost in the classroom. Huntington was one of the best decisions we ever made. We saw dramatic improvements to his schoolwork, his letter comprehension and sounds and he is now able to read short sentences. He has renewed confidence and he enjoys going to school again. He would have fallen further behind if it weren’t for the great teachers at Huntington!

Our son had a great experience at Huntington. We wanted face to face lessons for our son, as we found online and Zoom lessons were not the same. The instructors were great and it made such a difference to have in person lessons. They do a great job with busy schedules to make lessons fit. Our son improved 210 points! Highly recommend!!

Had my son take his SAT pratice test here. Not fully satisfy because felt that the practice test was not genuine and in good faith to see how well my son can really do on his own. Got a 1260 in the pratice, while his online practice tests were generally in the 1330-1360. Son complained that there was no clock in the room, so he couldn't manage his time at all. I mentioned this to the folks there, and they told me they purposely do that, and they will help train the students to work on their time management. I asked, does a real SAT test not have a clock in the room? He said they actually do have clocks in the room when taking the SAT. Didn't make sense to me why they wouldn't have a clock in the room for the initial practice test to get the first benchmark. The only thing I could logic out is that they try to get the students to score as low as possible, so that it would be able to show that they really helped improve the students score 100-200 points better in the real SAT. We ended not going with their recommended tutoring program to help my son with his SAT. My son did self study, and on the real SAT, scored 1390, 130 points higher than what he got at Huntingdon. This was my experience and may not be the same experience for others.

We went to Huntington to boost my son's SAT score. The info, teaching and coaching helped tremendously. He also put in the time and worked very hard. All combined factors allowed him to raise his score 250 points and secure a full tuition scholarship at his school of choice.

I have two children, and HLC did a fabulous job assisting them in maximizing their SAT scores. My oldest received a scholarship, and I am confident that it was due to her SAT score. It was worth the preparation investment. And, the staff was very easy to work with! Thank you HLC!!!
